Saw her in concert in Canberra Australia singing this plus Hallelujah and Creep. People were moved to tears and she got two standing ovations. I have never before felt a voice fill every space in an entire theatre. If you ever get the chance to see her live, do it, you won't regret it.

I've been listening to hard rock and metal since the 80s too, but I found this song overly pompous as performed by Kiss. I think the PMJ version is better than the original. They take the over the top bombast away, and the song works better that way.

An outstanding tribute to Morricone's "Ecstasy of Gold" placed perfectly in the structure of a song that has nothing to do with it in appearence. No doubt that Bradlee's imagination has no limits, but... this risky bet can only be possible when you have not only musicians than can execute the idea perfectly, but also a singer that can hold the heavy responsability of bring the song to the point of perfection. Absolutely brilliant!

Effie Passero is a songstress of the first degree, with practiced gestures & a voice capable of so much range, such symbiotic exchange to the listener. As they said in the 1940's, "The dame is a class act." Like some Valentino-era odalisque, she is ripe & lush, with an emanating sensuality that, added with that versatile voice, leaves one wishing for more.
