Hello Paula my name is Jackie and I live in California. I found your videos on KZbin and I want to thank you so very much for having them audio described as you move through your creative processes. I am legally blind and hearing your voice in a soft measured manner can really help me understand better what you are doing. I am a beginner with clay and I am at a small studio at our local blind center. Most potters there are mail and they are in their 13th or 14th year of clay work. Everything we do is with slab. Thank you again for being so creative and your videos are extremely helpful.

Thanks ☺️ Yes I would let it dry and fire it in the kiln with the lid on, although I would make sure the lid hadn't stuck before putting it in the kiln and you have to be sure not to glaze where the lid and bottom touch or it will be glazed shut. (I hope Google translate worked !? 🤞)

what kind of clay is used ?

I use Potterycraft's raku modelling clay which I fire to stoneware. It's a lightly grogged buff clay.
