How I found your channel will forever be a mystery to me, but THERE you were!!! I did not understand the stages of clay. I wanted a two sided Christmas ornament with that curve. I tried all sorts of methods, stuff, and designs...failures, all. Thank you! I wish I'd have thought how you think!

Very nice Monique! I bet you could take the edges where you join the halves and ruffle them, maybe even do a little cut work like lace. I may try that! Maybe even put a little ball of clay inside to tinkle like a bell. Hmmm. So many possibilites!

I have seen these done before but never with the cardboard cutouts. That makes so much more sense. The others turned out too bulky for me so I stopped making them. Thanks for the pointer!

I loved this video. I think I will use Raku clay and put some balls of clay inside to make a rattle. Should I put wax inside to keep tiny balls of clay from sticking? I think with Raku glaze and firing, my rattle will look tribal. I guess I could put dried tiny balls of clay inside and they probably would not stick.

Air does not cause explosions, moisture does. So I let them dry for a looong time lol.

Aww poor puppy is scared of the storm. My Older dog hides in the bath tub when we have thunderstorms. The puppy tries to climb on me and sit in my lap and he's 110 lb's and growing. but they love chilling out in my pottery studio
