We only have to pay car registration every 3 years and it’s about $50… however… in CT we have yearly car tax…. I paid $1,400 per year the last 2 years

@@jessieestrella3593 I have a 2010 Honda that’s about 150. I have a 2020 electric car and that’s the one that costs about 1250… at least the last couple years. I don’t think I’ve ever wished so hard for my car to decrease in value 😂

Here in Ohio our car license plates run about $55 a year. Our drivers license expires every 4 years. So I guess we have it pretty lucky.

My son in law is taking me to LAX on (the ride from LAX to their house last week took almost 4 hours! It’s normally a 90 minute drive) Wednesday for my flight home. My flight is at 5:35am, which means we have to leave their house around 3:00am, I feel bad but he said it’s better to leave at that time so there’s no traffic. I still feel bad though. I bought him a nice set of knives for the kitchen, he loves to cook. At least your dad is getting some coffee. Haha

I think I have debunked that…I’ve been super lucky recently came into a large sum of money and was about to buy a new key for my car since it was broken and the dealership lost it so they gave me a new one😅 and those are only two things have happened to me in the last two months! I might need to go buy some more candles for decor 🤣

For your unused candles, amazon has candle warmer lamp. It heats up the candles like wax warmer. It's about $30. :)

Is your registration for your tags? Does California not have the option to do two years? Where I am at we can do one or two years. When we do two years the following year we have to do one year. We also have to do a car inspection to make sure the cars are in good working condition and if it's not we can't get the ok to pass the inspection or renew our tags until we pay and fix it.

Yup it’s for my tags and everyone here has to do this every year. The smog check is the only time we need to get our car checked and that only starts to happen when a car is 8 years old and this is every two years.

We have to do emissions testing for smog once your car is more than 3 years old. And it has to be done every year. Is there a reason you don’t have to do yours next year? Wish Georgia would let us skip years sometimes 😂 also, we used to pay taxes with registration every year so on my new car it was regularly $300-400 each year. But several years ago they changed it so your sales tax covers it. So now it’s only $20 each year which is nice!! I just pay for both out of my car maintenance sinking fund since it is only about $50 total.

Someone in the comments mentioned something about having to pay for taxes too I had no idea that was a thing! I’m so glad and actually surprised they don’t make us do that here. 😅 I think eventually I will have to get it every year but that’s when your car is a lot older. Just depends on the car. My boss drives a converted school bus so that one has to get it every year but mine is 8 years old and this is the first time I have ever had to get one and the guy who did my smog check said I won’t have to worry about it next which was nice to hear.

@@Happy2planwithDesiree oh wow! I would think part of your registration is the taxes - that’s how ours was at least. The bill had like $20 to register it and then a taxes fee. That’s why I would think it goes down every year because the value of your car goes down every year. But maybe I’m wrong. If I am, I hope they don’t include that in the future.

So registration for me was $138, license fee (they put a note on my statement that this might be tax deductible) is $30 and there’s county/district fees that were $8 this totals out to the $176 that I paid. But that’s it when it comes to paying things for my car to the state
