Excellent instructor I always take instructional from her and many others. Natatzia, Nadia, Svetlana Saigon. Does the sound of names ring a note. Good. I love them. Ugslavs Russian Switz Ukraine. Etc. Aisian. I have no idea why... They all are straight forward to the point. Clear concise with excellent video. They are not here to showcase. I have a few seasoned very mature women here I also follow. Sage. After that. No thank you. And I will only buy patterns from the same. Burnt to

Hi - I just wanted to compliment your tutorial skill: You speak clearly, your instructions are thorough, you provide enough direction for a beginner to understand, learn and create from, and, your filming and display of technique are quite helpful. I've been searching for approximately 2 months & perusing tutorials for a crocheted beanie & this is by far the best. Thank you...

+HappyBerry Crochet Hi again! I was hoping you might assist me with a question. I am certain that I must have made a huge error. I am fairly new to crochet, however this is my first hat. Your instructions were phenomenal however, after following the instructions, I have a disc as opposed to a hat. Might you be able to clarify for me what mistake I made? I am going to start over but am hoping that you might be of some help. Thanks!

+HappyBerry Crochet: I recently reached out regarding a problem I had when attempting to crochet a beanie for the first time. I am so happy to share that I figured it out! I just needed to use a larger crochet hook for the yarn that I was using, now, rather than crocheting a disc, a hat is now taking form. Thanks again for your great video tutorial! Sarah

I have to say thank you for being the first and only only crochet tutorial creator (tutorialist? tutorialer?) I have seen who has been both informative and not annoying. I have seen a lot of people on youtube and other sites that have NO idea how to make a tutorial and, in not knowing how to make a tutorial, make the video very confusing for the viewer. You are clear and precise and patient and very easy to follow. Your patterns are wonderful, and your voice is not annoying in the least! I love this! Thank you so so much!

HOORAY! Success! I tried at least three written hat patterns, even ones with step by step photos, and could not come up with the proper number of stitches in each row. So I looked for a simple crocheted hat tutorial and found this video. Your clear instructions about where to insert the hook and how many stitches should be in each row helped me get to the part where there are no more increases and I just crochet rounds until long enough. Wow, thank you! It was easy to stop the video during each round, and starting it again as I finished each row. Great job! Thanks again!

Bravo! You had me at “no magic circle”. Thank you for clear concise directions and for making crystal clear what increases are. I watched it through to the end to be sure I could conclude with a finished beanie. Now I will watch again crocheting along. My thanks again.

Best beanie tutorial. I use and donate every size. They are so easy to differentiate by making stripes or adding an appliqué or a flower or a Pom Pom or just leaving it plain. I make the last row as 3 rows of single crochets. I just like the way it looks. Thanks so much fir the pattern.

This was very well explained and demonstrated. I have watched several tutorials on making beanies as someone I know is going through chemotherapy has requested that I make her one. I have been nervous as I have never made one before and did not even know where to begin. The way it is explained and clarified on each row, each step really helps me to feel confident that I can make her one. Thank you so much for your tutorials. I will be looking for your others.

Sapphire Willows I was taught to crotchet basic granny squares when I was 12 Sapphire . I made a blanket that I donated to my cats after 30 years. There wasn't you tube etc around back then and I found following patterns on my own very difficult so just stuck to squares or rounds. I have taken it back up recently and am loving the help on you tube. It is a lovely skill/hobby to have and is becoming quite trendy. Before long, you will have people wanting you to show them how to do it. Ignore those making fun and just embrace your hobby and skills and have fun doing it xxx

Now here I am maaaany years later learning to crochet on YT! Who knows one day you'll have a channel of your own or you can turn your skills into your job!

Excellent tutorial, easy to follow, easy to crochet, I have made many beanies following HappyBerry. You can also change stitches from single crochet to treble crochet with this pattern. I used half double crochet because the stitches are smaller and tighter. The beanie came out perfect. This is my go to tutorial for beanies always. Please do not remove this tutorial ever!

Hi HappyBerry Crochet. I want to thank you for your great tutorials. I have made several of your 0-6 months and 6-12 months beanies. They are adorable and everyone loves them. I have never crocheted prior to watching your videos. Thank you for making them very easy to follow. I just have one question. I'm having a problem closing the hole at the top of the beanies. Is there a way to do the magic loop? Thank you.

Shannon Risch I'm so happy you are enjoying my tutorials. Thank you for your kind feedback. I have made a tutorial specifically on the magic loop if you are new to it, which you can watch here if you like: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zp6TamhojbadmKM then you can skip the ch5 at the beginning and simply work the 12dc into the magic loop instead.

Okay so I used a black Super Bulky 9mm Lion Brand yarn that's 106 yards. This yarn is extremely thick so I followed everything in this video up until the 3rd round. The 3rd round has 36 stitches so in that round I stopped making the increases and just kept doing the 36 double crochet stitches for the length. It fit me perfectly but it fit tight on my boyfriend. If you want to make one for a man I think you should do everything the same until the 4th round and then keep doing the same 48 stitches for the length. Although my boyfriend thought this hat looks like it's mainly for women so I won't be making this style for him. I think it's because of the thick yarn that I used.

I call this one the polka dot beanie because I just finished a ton of polka dots for a blanket and they all started out this way. This was by far the easiest beanie (compared to others I’ve completed) - thank you for sharing!!!

For some reason, my increases never line up. This is the third one I've made following your videos and they don't line up on any of them. My stitch counts match yours though

Hello, Thanks for this video, it's fab. If i wanted to make it larger, could you give me an example of the stitch count. Would I just add 10 more stitches to each section?

Makes me wish I knew how to crochet. I'm an avid knitter, but is it worth it to learn to crochet? I only ask because well, knitting has become a little bit predictable, and my results come out quite similar every time. I'm just to lazy to do other stitches, even though I know them all. Bottom line, should I take up crochet?

I've made 2 baby hats, one child hat and I've started my first adult sized hat thanks to these videos! Thank you!! My grandma passed before she could teach me, so I've had to teach myself to crochet, and I'm left handed, so it's been tricky! Your hats are the first ones I've successfully made!

I think your "bulky" yarn and American bulky yarn are different. After 7 rows, my beginning beanie measured 5 1/2 inches, which obviously was too large. I used "chunky" size 5 yarn and a 6.00 J hook. I am not sure how to modify, so will have to look for another pattern. I just wanted to note this for others. Your yarn looks to be regular worsted weight and a size 4.

I must agree with those comments, you speak clearly and give enough comments, show everything in details. In fact my little man ( grandson, I started to crochet for him) said he needs a beanie with the train Tomas on a forehead. He is 2 in 2 days I hope I´ll make it. Thank you for the video. I´m using a smaller hook and different yarn, so it will be O.K.

Just wanted to Compliment you on an Excellent Tutorial for a Very Beginner Crocheter. I've been knitting for many yrs, but have never tried crochet. A FB friend has encouraged me to give it a shot. She thinks I will get just as addicted to crochet as I am to knitting. I've watched a number of tutorials now and must say I cannot wait to purchase some Bulky Yarn, a large hook, and get started. I might try a scarf before I try this touque though. Thank You for these very clear instructions. I will now see if I can find the pattern on yr site.
