Good morning Carrie. I made this shawl a while back for my mother-in-law who is in her 90's. She absolutely loves it especially because of how it hangs down and she doesn't have to worry about holding it. I am working on another one as a gift. This would make great shawls for nursing home residents because of the way they nicely hang down. It is so easy to crochet while I watch videos😊 It is one of my favorite patterns. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to give it a try. Thanks again Carrie.

You will never ever have an idea of how many questions I had, and problems of course, you have answered with this simple tutorial...!!! Never...!!! I have tons of yarn specifically bought for this and that shawl I was always planning to give to my daughters and I could NEVER EVER get any beginning (and continue and finish...) right... Got so crushed every time, frustrated, intimidated, humiliated and depressed, giving up... I thank you from the bottom of my heart...!!! Thank you, thank you and thank you, over and over... again!!!

This is still my favorite shawl to make (I prefer 9 wedges) and gift for new mothers, especially if they are nursing mothers. Done in a synthetic (but soft) worsted/4-weight and a double crochet, it provides some modesty and warmth without being cumbersome or difficult to launder. I gift them in mesh laundry bags with a little card enclosed that tells them it's hypoallergenic yarn and can be machine washed and dried in cool water in the bag. The baby's tiny items can also go in the bag to help keep track of them. Always a well recieved gift. Your tutorial is saved in my playlist for a quick refresher and to share with others. So simple and versatile! Thank you.

Thank you for this. I made this shawl following another teacher, you made this so easy. I used a 4 ply and 4 colors. I squared off on the front, put buttons on. It was easy to wear at hospital after major surgery, my husband slipped it over my head, no problem with I've and tube, vs house coat. I just love how you explaine it and make the instructions sooooo easy and simple to follow.

Thank you so much for the beautiful shawl pattern. I am stash busting right now and this is a perfect pattern for that. Cinnamon Stitches showed us your shawl and I came right over here and started making it. I am doing it in worsted Caron Jumbo Ombre in the Whitewater colorway which is aqua, blue and cream. It is turning out beautifully. I just took my yarn tail from when I started and sewed down the little bumpy guy. I am going to get into my crochet border book and find a great border to put on it.
