I was lucky enough to meet Mr Bray at an exhibition. Sound bloke, had time for everyone, sank an absolute bucket load of beer, possibly more than Lewis, Dellar and Bristow god rest his soul. Good fun and can throw a dart too!

I met Bristow and Dellar at a Legends KO in Lincoln a good few years back. The amount of Guinness they both drank was outrageous. Bristow lost to ex world youth champion Leighton Bennett's dad. 😅

Russ Bray is just a voice you can't unhear in darts. I don't know why people are clamoring for this guy to retire. Why, because he miscounts the score occasionally? Give him a break, he's 65 and still produces good quality refereeing plus he's been around for decades to boot. I doubt anyone who criticizes him can even keep up with the first few darts thrown to compile the numbers or make a 180 sound like a big moment as he has many times.

I agree with Mike on this this, even I really really like Russ as a referee!! Calling out you do either before or after the throw because it'll affect their concentration if you do during their throw and it really doesn't matter if you wait for that because it's already in their head!! (I'm an MvG fan but it counts for any darts player out there, these 5 or 8 seconds of waiting CAN make a difference!!)
