as someone who listened to every single episode of the camp cast when it was around, i can confirm that alex used to mention doing a group channel involving those seven people. i do think fraser was by far one of the more keen ones, which should be noted, but i definitely believe alex is the one who proposed it, and if i remember right i think will actually wasn't that convinced. the eboys channel did come to fruition after the nikocado video on james' channel at the start of lockdown, which got a great reception, so it doesn't surprise me that they were like hey this was fun and went down well, wouldn't it be fun to do this as a regular thing while we're stuck indoors. i love fraser but i do think it's believable that despite being enthusiastic about it conceptually, he didn't necessarily put in the effort to be a part of it (i don't mean it harshly, it just seems like quite a common thing i've heard them all joking about with each other that fraser is a bit more disorganised about group stuff, including just hangout plans). all of that being said, i think they kind of new they were shafting fraser and could've been more up front with him :/ but i do believe it's because they didn't feel he'd be a reliable or compatible channel member, which seems fair to me

What really bugs me about the eboys is that Will was one of my favourite content creators before they were around to the point where I watched every single one of his videos. His videos were all unique, really well done and they felt very genuine. Ever since the eboys I haven’t enjoyed his content nearly as much. He doesn’t put nearly as much on and the eboys humour when they’re together is just not funny at all to me. It’s just a bit sad to see to be honest.

I think the dynamic of the current 4 works really well. I like Fraser a lot, but he has a different vibe, and I don't think Eboys would work as well with him in it. That being said, Alex's story isn't consistent. I still believe that Fraser was excluded because his channel wasn't as big (i.e. profitable) as the others', in addition to his completely different style compared to the rest, and they should just be honest about it. AND they shouldn't have flat-out taken his idea and had him find out along with the rest of the public. It wasn't handled well, and that contributed to the drama.

It’s prolly because when someone has done like one of the grossest thing you can do to a friend (character assassination), they become significantly less trust worthy so when they say something that is even slightly off it’s very easy to just be like “🤮🤮Liar🤮🤮”. You're right, youtube is about the views and the money and the people calling Alex a snake are prime examples of that. Hate sells on youtube and clearly people like you are buying into it.
