I can't come to Japan but I can organize a Fashion Walk and a Fashion Monster Party here in Taos, New Mexico. Thank you all there in Japan for your inspiration. It should spread all over the world and link up. People should start their own walks in their own neighborhood. Violence is not fun so fun must be the antidote. Love the music too.

It's nice to hear the voices of people you see a lot in street snaps. It's also nice to hear their thoughts and opinions on style and what Harajuku means to them!

I think it's beautiful and inspiring, I am also trying to change my style by what I've seen from the Harajuku fashion. I think it's beautiful and it's too bad that not that many people in the Netherlands seem to approve of it :I

I'm trying to get it all together to go to Tokyo but I don't speak Japanese, and I don't know what it costs to stay there, and if I can get a job etc. But I wanna go so bad. I wanna walk in my favourite clothes and be with amazing people and experience that culture up close. I'm been so fascinated with Japan for so many years and especially Harajuku. I feel so horrible for never learning the language.

I wonder if these guys consider their fashion having an age limit. I would love dress up more like this, but here in the U.S. It'd be considered weird or creepy and unprofessional for a almost 30year old to dress like that. I still want too though. 💜💗

+LovelyMadness13 Just wanted to say hi - and I understand how you are feeling. I turned 34 in February, but wanted to get into lolita since I was about 26 or so. Wound up falling in love with mori girl fashion a couple of years ago instead, but I gotta tell you something - turning 30 was tough for me, but a lot of us get a new attitude once we hit that milestone. It's like we suddenly feel a freedom that we didn't have before. I started wearing bows in my hair and decora jewelry AFTER I turned 30 because I decided that it was a free country and I could wear what I want. That said I am still always very mindful and worried about looking creepy. I think the mori fashion lends itself well to any age, though, so I may not have the same struggle that you do. I just have to worry about coming off frumpy! Best of luck to you - I hope you find something that makes you feel beautiful.

No fashion has an age limit. Some people might think it's weird/creepy, but don't let that stop you. As for unprofessionalism, you don't have to wear it to work or incorporate parts of it into your work outfits, then wear the whole outfit when you go out. If your job still doesn't like it, then consider working somewhere else that is less judgemental! I'm 25 but I plan on being a harajuku girl FOR LIFE!

Thanks, Are you in Los Angeles or is that Louisiana? Kyara played in L.A. a couple of months ago. I'm sure there are a lot of kids into it there. Taos is small but we love a party. Not too many people know what it is but we are creating a facebook page for people to post and share info about fashion, dance, music and art. From there we can organize events. Meetings don't work but inspiring people to act on their own can. You set a date and place and they will come if it is just about having fun.
