As someone who loves both the typical Harajuku fashion that most westerners expect as well as street fashion, your Chanel has been a breath of fresh air in terms of the types of “Japanese fashion” videos that are on youtube. Thank you.

It’s cool to see they renovated Harajuku station I remember being there 3 years ago and I remember how old and insanely busy it was

I remember walking all these streets in Harajuku when I traveled back in March 2020... the vibe was definitely different as it was empty. Didn't even know where the shops were at, just turned at every single corner and find hidden gems. Thanks for this bit, Reggie!

I still have my brown vintage haori that I bought from the Kimono Store that Reggie is pointing out. I remember the place because of it's odd location in front of a stairs. I love wearing that haori though it's a bit uncommon to wear it in the Middle East. WOW! this vid brings back the memories.

I think that some arab merchants had commercial relations with Japan in some eras. Maybe you can look for a period where it happened in your country and check for styling inspiration. As a canadian, I think that some anime include some cultural references to arab culture from time to time. You can also wear your haori at some climate appropriate spaces you visit or for events your attend.

6:12 still can’t believe Kinetics closed up and got replaced by another Atmos as if there’s not enough if you know you know
@THECASUALco2 жыл бұрын
That was a while back. That Atmos had a whole 2 years being a limited pop-up. There’s still 3 Atmos locations in the area tho. One next to NB, one on the main strip, and the last is Atmos Pink where WEGO used to be. The entire layout is changed. Even Takeshita is nearly brand new.

In San Francisco’s Japantown, there’s a tiny vintage shop that imports various pieces from Japan, and specializes particularly with Ben E. Davis. I actually had no idea Ben E. Davis was based in SF, but there is a special Japanese produced line and I found some REALLY dope gems from there! As a huge fan of Japanese Americana like NBHD, I had no idea that, Ben E. Davis was an SF-based brand and that they had a special Japanese line! I was floored! 😊

Depends on the goal. For just shopping two weeks is MORE than enough. For touring AND shopping (which is more likely) two weeks is good but you have to pace yourself. There are a lot of things to see
