How on earth, did we manage to get things done before the internet😁😁😁. Thank's for a really good video.

Had my boots for about 2 years and getting in and out was the worst part of any skiing day. I was seriously thinking of getting a new boots just to ease the pain of getting in and out. That was until I saw this video. Man, I tried it several times at home - no problems at all! Big thank you, Harald!

Great video with very good information. I have been fitting boots for 40 years. We go over most of these tips with our customers when we fit and sell boots. Education should be part of the service with the sale. If your ski shop is not giving you this information when you buy boots you might think about going to a shop that provides this service with the sale.

Been watching Harald for years. Best explanation I've seen of how to best put on boots. Thanks Harald!!

Great tip on pulling the tongue to the side. Thanks. One other helpful point, after "kicking" the heel to the back of the boot, many people inadvertently put pressure on the high back as they go to buckle up causing the foot to move forward in the boot/liner. Leveraging against the back of the boot (pointing the front of the boot down) will unseat the heel from the heel pocket. I saw this a lot as an ex-bootfitter, racer and certified ski instructor. Keep the calf forward of the back of the boot!

I've only been skiing for nearly 60 years now, and this is the information I've been missing. Good viz and comfortable feet are two of the most crucial aspects I want to make a ski day a good one. The skiing is not a problem, but getting my boots on and off is usually the hardest part of a ski day. Thanks for this. By the way, the Dalbellos I bought last year are the most comfortable boots I've ever had.

Thanks, Harald! I almost returned a new pair of 130 flex boots since I had a hard time putting them on and off. But then I remember seeing this video some time ago and watched again. Now, I know how to properly put them on and off. I decided to keep the boots.

This is a really helpful video...!! I've been skiing for 25 years+ and thought I knew how to put boots on. After buying new boots last year I really struggled to get them on & off and considered changing them. However, after watching this video I can now easily get the boots on & off plus they feel more comfortable when tightened. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks... !! Many thanks !!

Thank you so much! I almost gave up on my new ski boots which are really comfortable once I have them on. Watched several x's to understand why I had such a problem to get into them & it's definitely the twisting of the tongue to the side->then back of hand pushing upper flap out & thumb to open out bottom flap. My foot didn't go into a painful cramp. The heel adjustment is new to me & a great tip. The camera shows exactly what you are explaining. My boots other than being women's fit, are almost identical to the 1st ones you showed the technique on. ty.

This is the most helpful ski video my wife and I have ever watched. We are experienced skiers who just assumed putting on and taking off boots was all about the price you had to pay for a day on the slopes - your techniques are so helpful and painless! Thanks

It's so people can help themselves; the fitting of a new boot involves much more by the boot fitter of course, but that's our speciality as well. Yes, we like the Zipfits and the Nordica Foam, I'm presently using Zipfits in my Dodge boots. You see them sitting on the stand. I ran out of time showing how to put them on, but I will in the next clip.

I started skiing at age 55, always lanky always awkward. Managing the boots was a dread until I saw this video. It is no longer a problem, as natural as putting on pants. Thank you Harald

Thanks a lot!! Really really simple explanation! (and time to time frustrating because why can't I think of this before?) Now I can buy the toughtest type of boot and don't fear to sweat putting in on/off!! ;)

Thanks so much Harald. I bought ski boots at the end of the season on a trip to Canada in 2012, the only ones I could find that fitted me (small shoe size, but wide foot, thus 25 Mondo with 104mm last) were Atomic B120. Might have been the right flex for me in my heyday in the 80's, but after 25 years of no skiing, think I'm more of an 80-90 flex guy these days. Only been skiing 3 times since then (total of 21 days), going again in Europe in December, pulled out the old boots to try on this morning, couldn't get them on!! Thought "I'm going to have to sell these US$600 boots (I paid CA$330), and get myself some softer flex boots.................then I saw your video!! Boots are probably still a little too stiff for a not-tall lightweight (5'9" & 160lbs) now in his 60's, but not worth a cracker now on the re-sale market, I'll stick with 'em. Cheers Harald! Great tips! Looking forward to seeing how the Dodge carbon fiber boots work compared to conventional plastic. Are custom foot beds safe to be left in the boot when using a heated boot bag?

Skiing for 35 years and its disappointing that ski boots, bad boot fitting have ruined more days of skiing than ice has. This is a helpful video, but its ridiculous and the biggest problem in the sport that level of knowledge is required to get a pair of ski boots on.
