This is why I avoid Instagram, facebook and snapchat, I am a girl of 18 years old and it is really important to love Allah first, than your parents. May Allah protect my parents… I am now studying medical to be a doctor Inshae allah.. Woman in general should protect themselves! I loved someone in the past, but due to social media he talked with other girls... So love some one who is encourages you to pray, to make time for Allah.. and do not love someone who loves your body etc etc. Yarabim sen buyuksun sen bizi kotuluklerden uzak tut, sen birsin Allahim sen buyuksun

Anisha Ani Allah bless/guide you. We Muslims, love and respect prophet Jesus(Isa) (peace be upon him) *And We sent, following in their footsteps, Jesus, the son of Mary, confirming that which came before him in the Torah; and We gave him the Gospel, in which was guidance and light and confirming that which preceded it of the Torah as guidance and instruction for the righteous. Quran **5:46* *But when Jesus felt [persistence in] disbelief from them, he said, "Who are my supporters for [the cause of] Allah ?" The disciples said," We are supporters for Allah . We have believed in Allah and testify that we are Muslims [submitting to Him]. Quran **3:52* *They have certainly disbelieved who say, " Allah is the Messiah, the son of Mary" while the Messiah has said, "O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Indeed, he who associates others with Allah - Allah has forbidden him Paradise, and his refuge is the Fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers. Quran 5:72* *The Messiah, son of Mary, was not but a messenger; [other] messengers have passed on before him. And his mother was a supporter of truth. They both used to eat food. Look how We make clear to them the signs; then look how they are deluded. Quran 5:75*

Allah put us on this earth, not to fall in love with the mere creation, but to prove our love for him, I don’t believe in any love...besides the love that my allah has for me, because that’s the only true love there is and will ever be. And if i am to marry in the future, it will only be for the pleasure of my allah, by completing the sunnah. When you do something for the pleasure of Allah, it will prosper...but if you do something that displeases Allah, then how do you expect that to last? For allah is the controller of everything. As a practicing sister growing up in the west, I have to disagree with you on certain things. Sometimes the parents don't really understand what we are going through in the west. E.g. my parents found men who are suitable for THEM from back home, but not necessarily suitable for me. They want someone they can manipulate, but didn't look whether or not if he's suitable for me spiritually. Often times the marriage becomes a family or cultural thing over religion. Although I agree the principle of this video, but I also know there are more to it then just going by the father's wish. Not all parents are the same in terms of knowledge and understanding or even range of social circle.

The story that is mentioned regarding the girl falling in love with the guy and the guy falls in love with her etc and they want to get married and he goes and ask for her hand in marriage which the father says no too surely the father should agree if the guy is a Muslim and is trying to put everything right. To my knowledge I thought if the guy is a Muslim and is trying to be on the right path and happens to fall into a haram relationship but wants to make it right, surely you should get them married ASAP. Nowadays fathers mainly reject a proposal purely on culture. This is why some youth nowadays tend to get involved in haram relationship etc.
@Unknown_19929 жыл бұрын
+willy awsome that I agree. But say if two people happen to have been in a "haram relationship" may Allah guide us then they happen to make it right by making it islamically right it doesn't purely mean they will end up in divorce. I've come across number of fathers who refuse to marry their daughter to a different cast, race etc etc and sadly this does exist to this day. That is why some youth tend to go about it the haram way. I believe if it started through "haram relationship" and both want to make it islamically right and on the right path of deen it don't tend to end up in divorces
@Unknown_19929 жыл бұрын
+willy awsome True, but still I'm 50/50 about this video. Don't totally agree with it
@Unknown_19929 жыл бұрын
+willy awsome well living in a western country I have seen many relationships that unfortunately start out haram but end up not divorcing at all... And then there are many who didn't start this way and still end up divorce and like the prophet PBUH said "Marriage is the best solution for those in love" Ibn Majaah The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “We do not think that there is anything better for those who love one another than marriage.” (Narrated by Ibn Maajah, 1847; classed as saheeh by al-Busayri and by Shaykh al-Albaani in al-Silsilah al-Saheehah, 624)
@Unknown_19929 жыл бұрын

I know a couple who were betrothed when still children. They didn't want to marry those whom they were betrothed to. They met each other, parents refused and then eloped. They had children, they made a life from nothing and built upwards. They now have 6 children who are of the best of character from all their relatives. Now their family want to know and their parents have apologised. Recently the man passed away at the age of 60, on the first day they read the Quran 67 times. He was loved. There is always more to the story. It's always the intention that prevails in the end. If it's a fling then it will always be treated as one. But if it's sincere and there is love then alhamdulillah it lasts forever.

Your comment gave me so much comfort... I am muslim convert for more than 3 years now. Due to my love, boyfriend, angel in Pakistan, whom i already call husband and he calls me his wife. My father is a stubborn atheist, threatened me to stop the nonsense when i told him about Islam 😢 He knows i have a friend in Pakistan but does not know he is my love. We want to marry and be together forever. And this video is simply so wrong. Like how can you marry a person if you don't know his/her interests, level of intelligence, sense of humour? You go and ask for a wife without even knowing how she is. And i am sorry for the speaker uttering those words, but not sheitan tells us we love each other, but Allah. He is the miracle of my life.
@claudiaborzea13866 жыл бұрын
@m 2222 This "incident" is called love... And if parents wouldn't be so rigid they would understand that they cannot force their children to marry whom they want against their will and feelings. You are supposed to live your whole life with that person... And love is the most noble and selfless feeling of all, so can Allah not like it? Boyfriend and girlfriend is haram... Even if you want to marry and know a bit of each other. But marrying someone whom you don't want to is ok... Marrying someone whom you only see once before marriage is ok.

So what if the father makes a mistake? Whose responsibility is my marriage and who will decide to divorce. The father?
@zubairigal73109 жыл бұрын
I think the role of the father here should simply because of a guardian. Some one who could help you decide for yourself and not someone who forces his decision on you. Anyway, a forced marriage isn't really a marriage in Islam as it requires consent of both the partners. And I such a circumstance the blame isn't on the victim or his /her spouse who is unaware but only those who forced it.
@222amonra9 жыл бұрын
zubairi gal So child marriage, which is allowed and widely applied in Sharia is a form of forced marriage than.
@zamzampetal85749 жыл бұрын
+222amonra In Islam, a person is no longer a child once they reach puberty - they are now responsible for their actions and able to give consent as they have reached maturity. If by 'child' you mean under the age of puberty, then they are not mature enough to give consent to marriage.
@zamzampetal85749 жыл бұрын
+222amonra If we stopped treating them like children and started to support them as the young adults that they are, maybe things would be different. I know you wouldn't like to think so, but actually their bodies are giving off signals that they are maturing... And why do they have relationships and sex at 13 years (let's be real here) but aren't responsible for their decisions/ actions? Children do not have romantic/ sexual relationships.

Do you know that in Muslim traditional wedding (nikah) the marriage cannot take place unless the girl agrees.. Also the marriage takes place with the conest of the girl.. The family collect info. about the boy, they look into his bio data, check if he has a good family background and after that some meetings are arranged between the boy and the girl where they talk, share about their own nature and interact.. In the end if both of them find think that they are compatible then they get married.. Also if a boy or a girls has someone that he /she likes then he/she can talk about it to their parents for marriage.. Liking means only liking, it's like you admire someone who is your ideal type but you can't get sexual with them before marriage which people do while dating ... In Islam, before marriage you cannot get sexually physical with the boy, eg :when you date you are bound to get physical, flirt, and do all sorts of stuff which a couple does.. This is prohibited in Islam.. You can do whatever you want after marriage ..

I f you two have married when you find out you do not like each other, you simply divorce. It is not liked but it is not forbidden. If you have not yet married but are engaged/promised simply break the engagement. You both should consider the parent's wishes but you are not bound by them, that part is for you both to decide but be gentle to your parents whatever you decide. Surely ALLAH knows best.

To be really honest, I'm so done with the mere idea of marrying and 'love' bs. I'll probably live my life alone and love it that way. What's the point of all the drama when you're going to die alone and all these lustful relations are for this life only? My husband won't answer the questions I'll be asked in my grave nor will he be any help as soon as I stop breathing when it comes to the Day of Judgement and the afterlife or the trails of the grave.

It's a good thing to marry. Marriage is not compulsory in Islam but it's sunnah so It's a good thing. Of Course you don't have to marry at a certain age but only when you are ready. It may be 25 or 52. Not marrying at all is also okay but is a strong decision. It's just that when some people look back at life they just regret some of their decisions. Of Course your spouse won't answer your questions in the grave. No one's does. But it's great to have someone with you to walk through life. There are amazing people out in this world so If you've met or had experience with some bad ones. Don't make permanent decisions based on that. I hope you understand my perspective and think again. May you make the better choice.

Converts don't have anyone to set them up with anyone so haram relationships are very easy
@isabellacassino85089 жыл бұрын
That`s true even because often the parents of the girl or boy returned to islam(as we should say and not converted because we are all born muslims), they don`t agree at all the idea of a muslim son/daughter so that is the reason why is easy to get the haram. By the way I think that a person returned to islam that is always in the right path will have halal so easy in sha Allah and if the family returned to islam... ma sha Allah will be the best for everyone !!! :D
@nelsonnzeh92399 жыл бұрын
Salamwualakum this is true in some cases but if one was to understand the true meaning of marriage in islam and was to follow the sunnah, and then untop of that the parents of either son or daughter, would look at the Iman of the person asking for the hand in marriage. rather than judge simply by the job, background or nationality, halal relationships would be alot easier to undertake, but it doesn't mean as muslim we should abandon it, we should just find a way to make it easier to be approached inshAllah.
@zamzampetal85749 жыл бұрын

It depends on cultural aspects and differences. Some cultures don't have arrange marriages or for the father to sort out the marriage. Or other cultures don't have dowries so it doesn't apply to them. I think it depends on culture this guy is talking from a typical Arab family perspective.

yes it true as Arab women ask for house fully furnish, car and etc. we don't have this in my Asian country. mahr is important but not dowry. dowry is discuss between the man and woman family. and if he give some certain amount and agreeable. then the nikah will take place :)

I'm Muslim but I don't entirely agree with this. I do believe in the idea of love at first sight. However, the reason why girls and guys say "I have to get to know or I have to get to know him or I have to get to know her" is because you want to see if the two of you are compatible. The big difference when dating is age. When you're 15 and you act that way obviously people change as they get older. I'm a 30 yr old guy who never did drugs, doesn't smoke, doesn't party, wouldn't cheat, stays active, never drank alcohol, good education , saved money and who has dealt with over 10 yrs of drama with girls, especially Muslim girls and I never had sexual encounters with them because I'm waiting for marriage. But if her father says well over my dead body ur not marrying my daughter well give me a break? I'm not going to put myself down and think I'm some piece of garbage. Only idiots elope. Parents should not get involved with picking and choosing partners for their children.
@TO89 жыл бұрын
In this world we live in of doing things on time, paying bills, watching your children, being religious, being civil with others and ext it's hard to be a perfect 10 and then some. For myself I hope to have a close relation with my wife's family (the in-laws) many guys and especially girls could care less about having a rapport with the other family members of the spouse's side. Having 3 older sisters who are all married and being through stuff with girls myself, I have a hard time trusting people so yes, I will date her and see if she's my type, if she's not some - i want you for your money type of girl. When your parents are dead and gone are they the 1s working the relationship with you and someone you potentially love? No. So it does hinder on your own instincts, sound judgment. Like any relation it requires work. Children with disagree with parents and people are bound to disagree with their spouse, it's how mature u are and how u handle it.
@adnanakbar62439 жыл бұрын
+Mohammad N Been watching to many movie love at first sight haha give me a break. The looks don't matter because in a couple of years when she hits her 40s or so she would look ugly their is no such thing as love at first sight its when you have an emotional attachment that's true love when you have the same goals or have a connection ect that's love. The sheik isn't saying tell your parents to set up marriage he is saying to go to the girls father and talk to him have coffee ect and pray together meet his family know what your getting yourself involved in. Arrange marriage are the most successful marriage in my opinion my parent have been married for more than 20 years and they are happy if you do it the halal way and are sincere your marriage will work out in Sha Allah if you aren't than you know you have to change yourself for the better.
@TO89 жыл бұрын
Adnan Akbar First of all did I say looks was the end all B-all? Read everything I typed out (both comments). Now days in-laws can barely stand other in-laws. I've known Muslim girls who have fathers who were or are abusers and alcholics, do u think I care about praying with a man I don't respect? thats fine if u believe in arranged marriages but I've heard stories where people met at random places when they least suspected it and they ended up getting married and being happy. Guys/Men shouldn't be viewed as the bad guys who only want sex, because I can state that there are shady women out there who only care about $. I don't want my parents to arrange someone with me because I have a different mind set. Because I tend to be more organized, on time, communicative with everyone and ext...my parents rnt like that...what are they going to find for me? A girl who cannot be communicative with me either? Yep that's a great recipe for marriage. If you read this and say I'm wrong that's fine, but it's my way and I'm not doing anything wrong.

I don't cheat in life, I don't do drugs, I don't smoke, I stay fit, i don't drink, I'm not a fake, I work hard and ext...it's rare to find ppl like that now days and who are genuine. I'm not hurting anyone, give me a break. Am I honestly going to hell if I marry an Irani Muslim girl that has a mature mind set as do I? Because it's apparently haram that I found a girl that I love and truly care about her. People who act 1 way and another way are just fake. I ended many relationships with girls because I told them exactly how I was and what i expect and those expectations are not high and nor am I referring to sex. Do guys do that now days? No, hardly ever and rarely. Tell me I'm haram by my actions because u make it seem like I am...ridiculous, don't bother messaging me when u don't truly know me.

Muslim men should marry reverted women and Muslim Women should marry reverted men, this way they are making double the rewards, first of getting married and second of helping a Muslim who needs to get through the first few years of understanding the religion. In the case where it is difficult for them to go through the father as they may be of other religion, they should do this through some masjid. I wonder what sort of difficulties Muslims reverts have to go through after coming into the shade of Islam. May Allah help them all, and make it easy for them.

Why is it so extremely hard to find a devout Muslim man to marry in the West? :( I totally disagree with this sheikh. In a place where the population of Muslims is less than 1% how are we to find a spouse if we do not look online?
@LIVERZ9 жыл бұрын
you have to do it halal by letting parents know. bf gf is just wrong. if you go against that order it shows you love your feelings more than allah. have faith in allah and he will provide
@sanaqadeer71839 жыл бұрын
Of course bf gf is wrong, did I say it was halal? But we have to arrange ourselves to be married because sometimes parents would not do it for us, or they may be looking for qualities and we may be looking for different qualities in a spouse. It is allowed for a woman to find a husband and arrange her marriage as long as she has the permission of her father or guardian.

+Sana Qadeer Look to those who are not Muslim. The only thing that he did not explicitly say here that would have made things clear; when the Father says, "Over my dead body!", then the brother knows that he is not good enough and must endeavor to increase himself. If he truly wants love that lasts a lifetime, he will break the bones of the Earth to make this happen. The words of this message are not lost, even to an atheist.

+Sana Qadeer people define GF/BF as friends of opposite genders sexually attracted to each other. And that is a very Western concept. Due to this alone most Eastern people, including Muslims see these relationships to be harmful

Sana Qadeer I think the guys from educated families there are way better than the ones in Pakistan. The ones in Pakistan can't handle freedom. They drink, do drugs, stalk random girls, text random people, act like clowns, dm you from fake accounts, poke their nose in your friends, try to make you jealous, etc. A guy actually did that then he was delusional enough to say that he was teaching me a lesson (because he felt rejected) and trying to show me there are prettier girls out there. I mean that's how low their standards are. He has been stalking me for 2 yrs after having met me 5-6 times. Social media for guys in Pakistan is exciting cause they have no exposure to the west. I've already decided what guy I want to end up with. He knows I had proposals. I don't get why he doesn't understand that I'll never end up with him and he doesn't have qualities that will make me love him. Pakistanis love drama. I think it's best to marry someone from a good educated civilised family otherwise someone out of race. That way you avoid a lot of lame problems.

The infatuation or first love will fade, but the true love will never ever go away, and you can find love and learn to love people, but true love is something else. And you have to look past your lust to find true love

@@naufalschannelhalfpro8992 Well you see, one can not tell what another is like by meeting them and their parents once. How do you know that the marriage will last. It's much easier to get to know someone by spending a lot of time with them, falling in love naturally, and then getting married (or not - marriage is not entirely necessary).

I just can't fathom the idea of just walking up to a man and asking for her daughters hand in marriage, I would at the very lease need a reason besides appearance. (I'm Muslim btw).

Shwarmie i mean you don't see the girl at the grocery store, find her beautiful and follow her to her house and ask her dad for her hand, i guess you just get to know her and stuff but without dating or just like try to create a friendship, so if you feel as you want to marry her, then you go up to her dad, if you find y'all being not compatible or you know she doesn't want to marry you, then you just stay friends ...

I'd like to say this first: I am not judging anyone of saying that what others have said is 'wrong', I am simply expressing my opinion alongside yours. Iv read on some of the comments that "It depends on culture..." and I think that the whole point of the video is that we shouldn't be following culture but Islam. For example, the video used western culture to illustrate the point. I was grew up thinking that I would want to find my partner myself, and thought I am still young and not married, nor do I have any partner, I truly believe that letting your parents find you a match is am incredible thing. Tbh I don't see how it's any different from dating sites....its just that on dating sites a computer brings two people together whereas in this case it would you be your parents. I don't know about you,but I trust my parents a heck of alot more!!
