We certainly need a part two; I can't believe I listened to it for an hour and it only seemed like 10 minutes. I honestly respect children or young adults who approach their parents and express a desire to marry in order to protect themselves. Support, as well as raising the children in the appropriate environment and educating them about Allah and the components of tawheed, are vital to me. I understand that finances are important for marriage but imagine the barakah Allah would reward if parents helped their kids get married by protecting for zina. There’s many things parents can do to support the two individuals who want to get married, like helping them until they can get in their two feet. Honestly what surprises me is when their in mid twenties and the parents are still against it because they haven’t finished ‘university’ or the brother doesn’t have stable job or any other excuses. May Allah forgive our parents and our shortcomings. I understand that money is necessary in marriage, but image the barakah Allah would bestow if parents assisted their children in getting married by protecting them form Zina. There are various things parents can do to encourage the two people who want to get married, such as assisting them until they can stand on their own. What amazes me is when they are in their mid-twenties and their parents are still opposed because they haven't finished 'university,' or because their brother doesn't have a secure career, or for any other reason. May Allah forgive our parents as well as our shortcomings, Allahuma ameen. I completely agree that we should never look at divorce from a bad standpoint, and occasionally if a sister who has never been married wants to marry a divorced brother, it's like don't Subhan Allah, and the companions were so different they would marry a divorced lady. Likewise, vice versa. With many of these situations, many people fall into two extremes; may Allah guide us, because we truly need his guidance, Allahuma ameen. I usually never comment, I did to drop two sense. May Allah reward you for releasing episodes like these, because youth or anyone can benefit from it. I happened find this Podcast on accident on my way to university but Alhamdullilah glad I did Allahuma barik Overall it’s long text but I just wanted to say I agree😂

I forgot to add this why Hijra should be something that is done Wallahi
@HassanThelander
@HassanThelander 2 жыл бұрын
18:00 fax, us first generation kids need to keep Hijra as an actual goal, not a distant dream. If we go back, we have our first cousins and our parents direct network to help us integrate. But what will our kids have for them back home? If we don’t rekindle the flame then our children returning to the Muslim lands will be more and more like an African American trying to go back to Africa. I fear a lot of us will be asked why we allowed our progeny to live in an Islamically opposed society

Just had a thought that made me laugh, ppl will avoid marriage because of divorce but the thought of break up doesn’t come to their mind when it comes to haram relationships. See how shaytaan has fooled ppl, if their logic was consistent they would remain completely single from both haram nd halal relationships.
@tajbelin1254
@tajbelin1254 Жыл бұрын
It is unfortunate, but just to provide another perspective - There’s a huge emotional element that drives these intense decisions, more than logic. People view divorce as deadly because of the potential backlash from their family/community. Whereas breaking up from a haram relationship takes place between the two individuals, no interference from others so the decision doesn’t get spread around the community like a disease. You can see why it makes the latter a much more attractive option for people (esp youngsters). To kickstart a change in mentality, we need to start at the root of the branch, which is society. The older generation requires a prolonged awareness of life after death, the pitfalls of gossip and a general healthy dose of Fearing Allah.

I think one way to "convince" the people that they shouldn't engage in haram relationships etc., is really and truly knowledge of Allah, of your Deen. We know that it's not easy especially in the western countries we live in and with all the fitnas that we are confronted with in our day to day life, therefore no matter what we do to stay away from haram the most important thing is to know Allah swt. We are all Muslims that's why it's one of the fundamental things to know your our lord. The one who created you, who gave you life, your provision, your health, all the other blessings which we will be never able to count, and most importantly your Deen in the first place. This will start to build up our Imaan and taqwa in Allah swt which automatically is going to help us staying away from sins and harmful desires etc. Ofc with it comes learning also about the Prophet sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam and his life, learning about the Shari’a that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala chooses for us, aqeedah, fiqh and all the other Islamic sciences. But it's important to get the foundation right so that it may become easy for us to follow the commands of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and the Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam and to stay away from the prohibitions. This was also the way the prophet sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam dealt with his companions may Allah be pleased with them all, he didn't came straight away with the rules and regulations but rather came to them and tought them the principles and fundamental knowledge of at Tawheed for approx 13 years and then after, when they had the foundation build strong, it was easy for them to follow the shar'i (by Allah legislated) rules and regulations the prophet sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam tought them afterwards. I hope it helped insha’Allah. May Allah make it easy for all of us and make us consistent in seeking knowledge and may He swt be pleased with us in this life and the next, Allâhumma Ameen.

honestly most of what you guys said is so true and it's on point. I just don't agree with the point where is okay to encourage the youngsters 16 to get married to fulfil their desires. I just see it as a risky thing to say cuz it can lead 16s sisters and brothers to look at marriage as a place for ONLY fulfilling their desires, cuz marriage is most definitely more than fulfilling desires. at that age is very rare that one knows about what marriage holds, responsibility and self awareness ( emotional struggles, packages, negative ideology of marriage etc) In my opinion it will be beneficial if we could teach youngsters how to be mature at very young age how to cope with responsibility, relationships and introduce them to what marriage is, and that will set them to be prepared if they do find interest in marrying at a very young age. Sadly we barely do talk and train kids about relationships and responsibility. so the 16 year old ends up having too little info about marriage other than desires. each individual is certainly different but as i worked with different youngsters i can conclude they are clueless that marriage is more than fulfilling desires, and if they just get married for that it will most certainly overwhelm them. May Allah bless us all with guidance and keeps us away from haram!.

Yes marriage is duty. A young man cant give her, her rights in islam. Cant pay suitable mehr, cant pay rent, cant pay food, and cant pay for clothes. Its better to wait for a man unless your ready to anger Allah.

We need to encourage marriage by 18 and start the conversation at puberty. Tell them to be patient and plan marriage at 18. I truly believe waiting more than 18 is a huge sin. Its a big fitna to wait when Allah made marriage halal right after puberty.

I was once in a haram relationship; it stripped me off my built up Iman to the point I was so vulgar and nasty. The guy who I had a relationship with was so manipulative to the point he used to tell me he loved me for the sake of Allah, used to use verse of Quran against me. I decided to stop blocked him out of my life. It is not worth it guys. Am now happy building my Iman day by day. inshaAllah choosing the halal way; won't talk to a guy inappropriately before he has met my parents and guardians. Thank you for touching this sensitive topic that youths are not ready for.

SubhanAllah this whole talk was so eye opening as a woman hearing it from a man’s point of view. I am a new viewer and just realizing this video was from a while back 😂I loved how Abdi was bringing up the questions we are afraid to ask or scenarios we hesitate to discuss, but Sheikh Fuad came with the answers in terms of experience and knowledge of deen. MashaAllah Idris came from a point of view of emphasizing being whole prior to marriage and one thing that stood out was when he said the spark at first should be a red flag. It reminded me of a quote I heard “You can leave a toxic relationship but if you don't heal what attracted you to them, you will meet them again. The same demon, just in a different person.” SubhanAllah healing is a forever journey and not one where you can ever come as fully healed, but the awareness of one’s self & Allah SWT and willingness to see past ego really would allow two people to come together to compliment that journey. May we all find a righteous spouse and be protected.

I was talking to a dentist for purposes of marriage. I am a doctor. She didn’t want to compromise her career for family responsibilities/traditional role of a wife. After a few discussions she said it was ok if we split bills and home/family responsibilities. I finally met her after 4 months when I traveled to her state and 2 of her cousins and a male guardian were there at the meeting. We are religious Muslims and we are pretty conservative in how we meet and interact before marriage. I was originally promised the meeting would be nothing more than an informal gathering and meeting in person. When I arrived, I was character assassinated by her 2 female cousins for having an agreement to share bills. “That’s the man’s responsibility.” The woman later had her opinion swayed by her cousins and said she will not pay any bills but still wants to work full time. She also wanted six figure US dollars mahr (Islamic dowry) and a minimum 3 carat diamond ring. She got super emotional when I wouldn’t bend to her entitled ways and she dumped me.

My cousin told us that he was in a online relationship with a Muslima. Us girls honestly softly reacted because we didn’t want to push him away. But what made us more shook was when him and his brother said their parents knew and didn’t stop it (And we thought they were more religiously hard than us). I didn’t think it was normalised till I seen it myself… it’s a real problem with this generation :/
