Vedic people never worship shiv linga. Indra, agni, varuna was the arc god of Vedic aryan people. Aryans were not idol worshippers. Dravidian shudra dalit people were idol worshippers. Shiv was local indian god. Aryan Rishis or sages never worship any idol. They used to do Yagga, Sadhnas, Tapassyas.

The sc and st of this nation were earlier people of Harrapa who built a wonderful civilization lasted for more than 3000 years. And then came Aryans who invaded these abroginal peoples and forced them to move inner part of the country which was mostly covered with dense forest at that time . And yet these so called Aryans changed the language first and slowly the whole culture of ancient glorious civilization. The real people of this country are treated as "shudras" or untouchable and considered as uneducated and uncivilized beings . But by the grace of "Shiva" once again native peoples of this country are rising and soon they will get that place in society which was theirs.
