The perfect time was around 1100 AD 1200 AD when the monuments in the north were still intact. @t s Muthuraman There is not a much-preserved history of what happened in Ancient India and pre-medieval India too. As most of those were destroyed in medieval foreign rule. Except for accounts from Chinese travelers and little ruins. It's not possible that such large epics could be written without much detailed geographical research of entire India. Something which was impossible for any Individual or even a team of people in 1500 BC. Hardly anything from ancient patliputra is now archeologically found around modern Patna. But we all know it existed in its glorified form. There is a lot in history in which we don't have much evidence left to be known. Even what already exists and the history taught behind it seems fictional. For example qutub minar it's impossible to build such a high-rise thing under the lifetime of many rulers without a proper blueprint. The Hindu symbols superimposed by text from the holy Quran tell a lot of things. Historians today don't aim to explore truth but to create stories to fit certain political agendas. That's the problem otherwise it extensively explored it's not difficult to find truth.

It is well and good to learn the history. However, providing citizens basic access to education, health care, housing, clean water, free of corruption needs to be the basic goal of any system of governance. We need to concentrate on how to achieve these goals.

Many authors highlight the Dravidian speaking Brahui tribe that inhabits the modern region of Balochistan in Pakistan and is close to the Indus valley. One of the arguments is that the Brahuis may represent the remnants of the early Dravidian inhabitants of the Indus valley who were later Aryanized or driven off. But, there are also people who argue that the Brahuis were later medieval migrants to the north from Central India. This is possible because only around 15% of Brahui vocabulary contains Dravidian words and it also does not contain any early Indo-Aryan or early Iranian loan words. So, it means that the Brahuis were not present in the Balochistan region during the early Indo-Aryan Vedic and Old Iranian period. The oldest layer of loan words in Brahui language is from later languages such as Balochi, Sindhi, etc. that evolved during the medieval era. Thus, this could indicate that Brahui migration towards the north would have happened only during medieval times. Also, we have late arrivals of Dravidian languages such as Kurukh in far northern regions like Nepal. The five-varna system was NEVER made into the law of any Indian state in history. It is a system of personality type classification by dominant "humours".
