Great information, sir. From what I have always read, Harbor freight puts out decent products for the price but the quality seems to be lacking. Nice to hear you give an honest opinion and point out it appears to be built well!

Thanks Richard. The only complaint , it doesn’t have a brake. If it does break I can use it for a boat anchor. Lol

Have had one of these for somewhere around thirty years and it is still going strong.

I find myself holding off on opening stuff that I have really wanted for a long time too brother. The things we put ourselves through so we can make a video out of it. Am I right? LOL. That thing is a monster! I can see how that will significantly speed up the furniture building and it will cut down on your orbital sanding time as well. I'm glad you were able to add that to your arsenal! Another really great video!

Yea for sure. This is probably one of HF best tools. Thanks

A suggestion for the miter gauge slop: use some silver AC duct tape along one edge of the gauge bar. Mine took 2 layers, and greatly reduced the slop in the channel it glides in. Clean the side you'll apply it to with alcohol so the tape won't come off over time. Also, carefully trim the tape with an Xacto knife. I also did this with the cheap miter gauge that my job site table saw came with as well (this time took 3 layers) and it works very well, and the gauge bar glides smoothly in the slot.

I see where that would work but a haven’t needed it yet. I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks for watching

You're gonna love it, I got mine for Christmas as well. That thing has more power than the shuttles engines. Probably an idiotic thing on my part, but keep your fingers off the spinny wheel. I used to be able to stop my little belt/disc sander from HF from there after turning it with my finger so that I could set up for my next piece. I waited about 10-15 seconds after flipping this hoss of to try that and sanded halfway to the bone on the end of my right thumb. I've been using mine for 4+ months now and am still using the same sanding disc that it came with. Liberal use of the abrasive cleaning stick will save you money.

Yea. It seams like a great disk sander. It will definitely come in handy. Thanks for watching

Pro-tip: PVC scrap can be used to clean these discs, and it's often free waste.

This isn't a review, this is an unboxing. With a typo in the title. "Seems built well" "Seems pretty good" etc. If you just use it for a while before filming, then you wouldn't have to worry about how it seems and could instead just say how it is.

picked a 2014 display model ,missing 2 rubber feet thing is heavy,ordered new rubber feet,got no mitre guage,i think i have one,fast rpm,unlike their smaller combo sander which was weak,...the new bauer unit has cloth backed discs,and cast aluminum,prolly a bit lighter, i paid 90 n tax,found the original tag listed 99 in 2014,.this was reduced at 143. normally 2022 179....guess i did ok

Is it possible to fit these with a 9” disc? I would like the option of fixing sanding sheets to it.
@Jordanwoodworking Жыл бұрын
Possibly but if that’s what your wanting I would buy a smaller sander BUT the sandpaper that comes with it last a long time

Just pick up a display model for $31, missing box, directions. I figured a pretty good deal for a never been used display of a $199 sander
