In this video I show some of the ways I siphon fuel from tanks. Also I demo the very handy and useful Jiggly siphon hose and a battery powered transfer Pump from harbor freight.

Another good one. I’ve been using the battery pump for awhile. But I like the jiggler hose for getting at the bottom of the tank of my commercial zero turn mower. That battery one would never fit at the bottom of that tank.

I bought that HF pump because it looked like one I’d bought on Amazon. Both use two D cells. The one from Amazon has an auto shutoff, the HF pump does not. The HF pump switch failed, and the hose developed a leak. I wired past the switch and tried loosening the battery cap to shut off, but gave up and tossed it when the hose failed. I mostly buy aftermarket spouts and metal Schrader valve type vents for my gas cans (using a tubeless valve stem for a vent only works until gas softens the rubber). I also buy “racing” fuel cans, not technically legal for fuel transport - but they work. I have 8 cans, 2 spouts from VP Racing.

The Terapump AA and D cell pumps have an auto stop feature with better and longer hoses than the Harbor Freight one. Much more expensive too though.
