Does the novel cut off when it is full?

When you pull the input line out of the fuel, does diesel run out of the filter. Seems like some kind of a check valve would be good there.

I’ve probably pumped 1,000 gallons gasoline with this pump it’s been phenomenal hasn’t missed a beat. I’ve grounded the case with just eyelet terminals to the chassis of the vehicle it’s mounted in and good decent power line with in line 25 fuse. Everything done with solder/ dielectric grease/ heavy duty terminals//liquid electrical tape. Lastly I have the pump mounted to a 1X2 foot piece of plywood. Lines are shark bite push to connect 1/2 on intake and 3/4 inch fuel safe hose on exhaust side. Two 3/4 inch 90degree fittings from to in/ex line.
