Dude, you saved me with this video. I needed this cart badly to haul storage bins and the stupid instructions were in tiny lettering that I could barely see! In the Spring, I will use it to haul fertilizer and mulch! You ROCK!
@ZenaBlase Жыл бұрын
Not only is it tiny, none of the hardware is numbered in its packaging, so the instructions that are, for example referencing, "use Nut 9 and washer 13" are meaningless. Incomplete' too. Unless you use the small washers on both sides of the steering mechanism, you'll wind up with extra parts. Nothing said about the 4 lock washers.

Your very welcome! I’m happy people still find my silly videos helpful. As for the missing pin and washer, if they are indeed missing I wouldn’t be at all surprised the way China cranks these things out so fast! BUT, I’m sure you can find those missing pieces at your local “home improvement” stores hardware department. If Ave Hardware is a thing in your area I’d start there. Why? Because they have an excellent hardware selection with some of the most oddly specific items and selection that Home Depot can’t compete with! Though for simple parts like that and the likelihood of accessibility, the depot is probably a good bet. Thank you for watching!

I noticed that when attaching the flat connecting bar (about 9:20) the assembly works much smoother if you place the flat bar UNDER the steering arm bars ("under" with the wagon upside down). The instructions show it assembled as in this video, but the steering arms scrape badly against the flat connecting bar that way. Also the instructions (and parts list) doesn't show the lock washers for the wheels. Also, I was going to re-use the old wheels from my old (previous style) cart (which finally rusted out on the steering arm, but I had recently replaced the rusted out wheels), but doesn't work! The old wheels are slightly wider than the new wheels, so that they bind up when tightening the acorn nuts. Thanks for posting this video!

Exactly what was needed. The worst instructions ever on anything I've assembled. You get a sub.
@ZenaBlase Жыл бұрын
Thank you for explaining where the lock washers go. Because the mfr. does not label the hardware and so the part numbers are meaningless in the "instructions. Very much appreciated.

Also, their useless diagram only shows one flat washer going on there, so they're wrong twice! Again, thank you.

Fill those tires with expanding foam, did it to my Pneumatic tire hand truck when the tire would keep going flat. Flip the cart upside down so the wheels can spin freely. If it has a tube (some do) remove it. Then puncture 3-4 small holes in the tire to be able to feed the tube from the can of expanding foam. Squirt in small amounts then spin tire. That will send all the foam evenly around the tire while wet and pliable. As it expands it will push all the air out the holes and then the foam will start coming out. Once it cured cut the excessive foam that leaked out. Homemade run flats !!!!!!

well, i put my wagon together but durn thang not steerable! so, says i, get out the instructions. hmmm, must be in the trash with the box. found it, worthless so back in the trash! decided to consult youtube, where after several watches, figured out the front was too tight! when is it ever smart to leave loose bolts on anything? works fine now, thanks to you!!! some of the reviews say not great wagon, but it seems to be a darn fine replacement for the red childs wagon i've used for years. thank you for detailing the build!!!
@4rnorthwest3 жыл бұрын
No Problem! Thank you for watching! Knowing my silly little videos help someone out there is why I make them!...that and because theres an outside chance youtube/google will give me a few bucks now and then! Its a fine wagon really! I purchased two of them for our steel yard. Our customers load them up with a couple hundred pounds of steel scrap all the time. Honestly can't believe they haven't been destroyed. That says something.

It's been 3 years and wondering how it's held up? I saw another video an theirs is in really bad shape. I'm glad I got the 2 year warranty. On the flip side, I wish Harbor Freight would send you a cart every time they change the parts or design. I just bought one yesterday and reading they changed it a bit. Hoping to have done it myself but not sure now. Too bad they don't have a free assembly like Home Depot does.
@mjgbabydragonlet3 жыл бұрын
Sadly, I am already finding this useful...Thank you! You would think there would be a "tools needed to assemble" and labeling the lovely nut card....but I guess I am expecting too much...right? And where do the split ring washers come into play....because nothing is labeled a split ring washer....
@4rnorthwest3 жыл бұрын
Ya the "instructions" leave something to be desired don't they! As for the split ring noise makers, honestly I don't remember and I'd have to watch my own video again just to reference it but I'm not a huge fan Of watching myself and listening to myself is even worse! So I would say this much, Those washers are just a way to keep nuts from backing off over time. Use where needed! (insert laughy winky face). I hope this was helpful and Thanks for watching!

Liam Souza well, there were 3 in this video, 2 of which went for daily use by our customers at the steel yard!
