I bought one of the 29.99 McGraw die grinders this morning. Worked fantastic for the brake job I did today.

How's it holding up after two months?

I'm looking to get one of these to clean up/polish the water pump mounting surface on an engine block. As I don't normally use them I'm not looking for upper end. Thanks for the insight.

what size air compressor would I need to use this tool?

A couple factors to consider with that question. On tools like die grinders you need a lot of air so if you have a single stage compressor with a nominal CFM rate, you'll want a larger tank and allow it to fill completely. If you have a two stage compressor with a higher CFM rating, tank size isn't as important. The lower the CFM, the bigger a tank you'll need. Otherwise you'll only have short bursts of tool runtime and then waiting for the compressor to refill.

what you said about cheap tools forcing you to be more agile and less agressive is true, makes us better finishers for sure.
