I have one mounted on my Flatbed, I modified it with larger pulleys on the beam. Cable was cutting through the small roller in the square tube.

it will lift a 5.3 v8... i did something similar but mounted it to a hitch where i can remove it

How did you mount the winch to the crane? Building the same thing for my grandpa to lift his wheel chair into his truck and would like to see how you mounted it, thanks!

The ZXR 2500 seat is same size as top of crane. But only one hole will line up with winch hole. I had to “tap” in another hole which, if you use crane screws they will hold winch. I thought about welding it to crane but I already had to remove and return the winch to HF for a free replacement.

Would you say that winch handles a 1000 pounds pretty easily? Also,very nice set up

It’s not easy, but it does it. I’ve reinforced the top of the shaft because of the flexing problem. If you mount it really good and secure it will lift 1,000lbs

After adding the wench what is the max weight capacity?

I don’t pick anything more than 600lbs. That’s enough for me. This works great even until now.
