A better product at half the cost? Sounds too good to be true. The new Badlands 3-ton Off-Road Jack from Harbor Freight has captured the attention of off-road enthusiasts everywhere in the last few months. Since its release at the 2022 SEMA Show, it’s been creating waves in the industry for it’s uncanny resemblance to the well-established Pro Eagle “Kratos” 3-ton jack. While it’s no secret that Harbor Freight is known for releasing products with very similar designs and characteristics to its competitors, and offering them at much lower costs, it’s rare that these products exceed their competition in quality and performance.
But is this new Badland Jack is an exception? On this episode of Chasing Dust, Matt compares the new Harbor Freight Jack to the Pro Eagle 3-ton. On paper, the Jack is better in almost every way, but can it hold up to the abuse and needs of an avid off-road enthusiast? Matt goes over both jack’s specifications, their features and benefits, and then tests the jacks in several real-world scenarios to demonstrate how they both work and how they compare.
While most people will form their own opinions, it’s hard to argue with something that works so well for half the cost of the closest competition. If you’re in the market for a new off-road floor jack, and are having trouble determining which one is best to suit your needs, we hope this video will help in your decision.
