This vlog is about our long and hard airport immigration process to visit Jerusalem which is the 3rd Holly city of Muslims and home to Masjid Al-Aqsa.
We flew with EL AL from Frankfurt airport and their security checks were very discriminatory towards Muslims. I would highly recommend not to fly with EL AL if you are a Muslim under 50 year of age and want to visit Jerusalem. I had to remove all of my clothes only underpants. We were not allowed to carry any of our hand luggage apart from only a mobile phone and wallet.
At the Tel Aviv airport, we had to wait more than 5 hours, maybe it was a little busy (the reason they gave us) but It is still very excessive.

Hi Abrar, I went to Israel a few years ago as part of a Catholic group. I flew out of New York on Continental Airlines. Security was tight, tighter than anything I have experienced before. Part of the airport terminal is cordoned off, and we were made to go through security that was very tight. Lots of questions, lots of searching through luggage all to be repeated by another security person. On the way out of Tel Aviv, we were questioned several times - same questions asked by different security guys. Essentially, they are looking at inconsistencies in your answers. If there is any inconsistency, that will raise a red flag with them. Of course, Muslims have to undergo more questions, and more security searches, than Christians. But, such is life Abrar. I must say that that was the most valuable trip I have ever taken. The place is full of history, and is worth visiting even with such tight security measures. I'm hoping that one day I can go back, this time with my wife. Cheers. Love your videos of biking back home to Pakistan.

I visited Israel in 2011 and am Pakistani born so I am a dual UK and Pakistani citizen. I used my UK passport and had to wait for 4 hours in Ben Gurion Airport. They asked a lot of questions but at the end the interrogator became friendlier. He even apologized for his “interrogation” but said that it’s part of security. I visited cities in Israel and also the West Bank. I stayed in Tel Aviv for a few days and also went to the Northern cities such as Haifa, Nazareth and Akka. Also crossed some Arab villages and towns and had dinner with an Arab family near Tel Aviv. It was a very educational experience and I would love to visit again and see more. Even though the immigration and security is tough but then again many countries can implement such tactics. I have been interrogated in Canada, US and also questioned in South Korea. Even in Pakistan I have come across rude security officials. Dont let such experiences put you off. The trips themselves can have many positive things to offer.

Omri, imagine traveling to London. When you arrive you go through 3 hours of interrogation, unpacking your luggage, stripping, separation from your family. Israelis are not aware this exists. And yet, despite all, also understandable in a country like Israel

Tel Aviv airport is notorious for security procedures but they also have a reason for doing so. I remember being grilled by security officials at the airport. Actually arrival is quite easy at least for indians. Absolutely no time waste at immigration. It was only at departure that they ask a lot of questions e.g. the security guy was stuck on my sirname....he asked me my famous holidays, festivals. Then I told him that the army chief of India is also a Rawat. Then he smiled and leave me...

@Abrar this is normal when you fly El Al, but had you taken a different flight it would have been much more difficult checking with the immigration, and you should take nesher taxi out of Ben Gurion airport it is a share taxi they charge about 54-55 shekels for one way to Jerusalem. honest opinion: 1.)Old Jersalem was awesome 2.) the Dead Sea was cool but a lil overrated 3.)the sea of gall-ilea 4.)the food was great 5.) it was my first time staying in a hostel I recommend it to everyone ! 6.) it was my first time being in a desert (Negev) super cool 7.) The markets 8.)I went to allot of historic religious sites and they where awesome Next time I will rent a car

WildLens by Abrar i think its the same , our country’s passport has the words “except Israel” as well . But the embassy in Singapore tell me I can still apply for the visitor visa . Just wanna make sure how strict is the interview session . Anyway , is the visitor visa in a separate piece of paper ? I’ve heard that they don’t stamp in our passport
