This is a video of me half filling short filling in LS block for big boost numbers, arguably not necessary unless you're going all out in which case you might as well fully fill the block but then don't plan on driving on the street, for me it's added security using hard block stiffen up main webbing block rigidity and it's entirety LQ9 is already a iron block so pretty strong people make big numbers already but. for me the trade-off I believe is worth it to each their own.

You might keep an eye on the oil temperature.there is nothing to cool the oil, just a thought.

Appreciate the heads up I mentioned that in the video The car does have an oil cooler on it but I'm also going to upgrade to a better oil cooler This go around just in case, as you are correct!

You didn't say but hopefully you are taking your block to the machine shop next to bore it? Hard block will distort the bores so it needs to be added before the block is bored. I ran a 355 smallblock on the street for years with hardblock and it ran nice and cool. No overheating problems.

Yeah I still have to take it to the machine shop. Good to know there's others out there running them on the street without coolant issues, Appreciate the heads up I guess I forgot to put it in the video 😂🤷

True, I have ARP mains going in so required for those. This block should be getting the works, being the cam bearing spun in the housing as well 😑

@@davidreed6070 Lol Single 85/102 Billet T6 1.32 I bought this turbo for a different setup might end up changing ex-ducer inducer size later on to a tad bit smaller.

@@Califormula that will push a lot of air. I have a pair of 66s, more than my engine can stand. That's enough for me. I just caught your channel, good job man you got another subscriber.

@@davidreed6070 Appreciate it Yeah 66's should spool super quick on any LS This turbo's way more air than this block can handle but I don't have the knowledge or skill to pick a turbo based on compressor map so I'll do the trial and error way 😂 Appreciate subscribing hopefully it's worth your time!

Thank you! I love them I had stock replacement stuff before night and day!!! I barely even dial them in, and it was night and day is the best way to explain it 😂 less body sway, eats bumps and uneven surfaces like they aren't even there, feels like an actual car instead of a couch now.
