Hard Boiled Egg Hack - IT ACTUALLY WORKS!!

I have been seeing this hard boiled egg hack everywhere on social media so I had to try it! - I am more than happy to have seen/try this hack! Let me know if you try it! If you use fresh eggs - please let me know how well it worked!

Very interesting, I have never heard of this before. I make a lot of hard boiled eggs, I never get tired of them. I always poke a small hole in the rounded end then do that same cooking method as you. Usually the peeling goes well, but not always. I noticed if the eggs (store bought) have been in the fridge for about a week, they all peel fine, the newer from the store, the more likely I mess the egg up peeling it. If this tapping thing works I will probably do a back flip right in the kitchen, can't wait to try it!

@@MiAnUAcres When i tapped the eggs with the spoon it cracked open a small hole no matter hard I tapped. But the eggs cooked fine and peeled fine. So a win I'd say. The store bought eggs (large) I get are almost round, hard to tell the round end from the pointed end. 😆 I swear the shells too are a lot thinner than they used to be. Anyway it kind of made it fun to make eggs. 😀

Ohhh welcome back :) Glad you found us again! I have used egg shells yes but usually like to use farm eggs of ours or a friends. These shells I discarded

Another good trick for farm fresh eggs is to put about 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in the water before boiling and the egg shells will almost fall off when peeling them

I usually just tap both the top and bottom and then tap the side and gently roll on counter. Peels like a dream.
