I've lost a few models this year, did I learn anything from your video, only time will tell. Love your videos
@sonex4132 жыл бұрын
Richie didn't learn a thing that day in spite of his well-delivered sermon. Neither have I, apparently. We are still losing models on a pretty regular basis! Thanks for watching and being a regular here. -Mike

Yeah, those crazy Slovenians crack me up...they've gotten me and Richie snapping the occasional salute at each other at the field too, especially after some epic flight. I think we'd get along all right with those guys.

It's a reverse version of survival of the fittest. The best ones fly away and get filtered out of the collection. Pretty soon all you have left is a box of lemons. We're getting to that point lately, time to do some serious building. BTW, I really enjoyed your recent experiments based on maple seed samaras. I've been thinking for a long time about a capactor electric single rotor heli based on a couple of old gas powered designs I saw on Outerzone. The problem is, I have more ideas than time! Take care!

Oh Man i ve missed you guys so happy to see you two having fun I found a rubber powered foam wing flyer i lost two weeks ago the other day lol.......had my first catapult glider to go OOS the other day just part of the fun......i am getting interested in Round the Pole electric models so trying to get a grip on that for a new avenue Hive Five Mike and Rich
@sonex4132 жыл бұрын
Glad to hear you're still kickin' too! Those OOS flights are both sweet and sad. Rich and I call them gifts to the god of the thermals, Hung. Called that ever since hearing that expression in one of the old model airplane rags decades ago. I have a vague recollection that it might have been Bill Winter's column in the old Model Airplane News. Always loved that old model airplane lingo and those old magazines! Good luck with that RTP stuff and a high five from Mike and Rich.

Do you guys put any wash out in the wing tips? I would expect that you probably put 1/8th or so in them. Right?

Sadly, we never did. It stayed right there and taunted us over the course of about three months. We saw it every time we went there. Then it finally disintegrated from the effects of wind, rain and snow.

You have a choice between enjoying building another model occasionally, or fitting radio dt.😀😀😀😀
