when I did engine overhaul the Honda technician assembled it incorrectly so the clutch did not work at all. When I complained about gear shifting so hard that I am afraid of breaking the shift lever, they said its normal and caused by reassembling the transmission and will fix itself by 3 days. Only when I later was able to prove the clutch doesnt work at all they took the complaint about their botched work seriously and reassembled it again and it worked. In my experience, Honda is a company which has absolutely no clue about motorbikes and incompetent techicians unwilling to accept responsibility for their mistakes.

Thanks for sharing, and the detailed feedback. Of course I do not know your personal case. My friend, in every profession, humans ars not gods, and humans make a mistakes. From what I understood at the end, thay fixed you the problem. It's not much fun when faild statistics fall in your field. If this is the negligence of the local garage you can look into the possibility of financial compensation. I share knowledge, the decisions you makes are at your own risk. thank you very much.

I had not searched for a long time, the model is already old, so maybe a copy of Honda's book can be viewed online. Need to check it out. I use Haynes' guide. It's not expensive, and it's a good investment. You may want to consider buying it. These are the links I know: ******** HONDA ANF 125i - OWNER'S MANUAL docs.google.com/file/d/0BwmYWlzMWkPhemxqcHUtRXA4Yk0/edit?pli=1 Honda Common Motorcycle Service Manual docs.google.com/file/d/0B6EDVo72Y5BfNjIwYTFkNWYtODZhMS00MTYyLWFmYjYtNDFhYTYyMjEwZmEx/edit?pli=1 HAYNES - ANF Service & Repair Manual www.amazon.com/-/he/Matthew-Coombs/dp/1844259269/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=haynes+manual+honda+innova&qid=1633221489&sr=8-1

My clutch brake plate is worn out and even not touching the clutch housing when i fully pressed the shifter, is there any difference in shifting if i replace it?
@MyINNOVAMotorcycling11 ай бұрын
Dear Sir, if you have developed a style of changing gears, which is not affected by the auxiliary brake, then I understand there is no problem. But if you've already an opne case cover, then why not switch for new one? If the drum has already been damaged, then I would replace it as well. When metal touching metal then metal chips fly into the engine, and even then that's a reason to replace parts. It's not that I'm giving you advice, I'm just sharing what I thinking. Only you know what is good for you.

This causes the centrifugal clutch to slip to aid in smooth gear changes. The main clutch disconnects/connects the output shaft (14-tooth external gear). The centrifugal clutch disconnects/connects the input shaft (crankshaft).

@@BallHighlights Hi sir. In my opinion the patent should be the same patent, maybe even the same parts. But SORRY I'm not sure!!! Try to get a parts diagram for your model and look there, or ask your parts supplier.
where did you find the service limit? When I go to Honda company I think even they dont know it. And if I remember correctly they dont have a replacement. In my experience, Honda is such a shitty company. Constantly out of stock on spare parts, techicians lacking competence and working incorrectly. Last time when I told them to adjust the valves they were doing it by their "feeling". I had to find a feeler gauge in their shop and give it to them and insist I want to have it done by feeler gauge. And of course they dont bother using a torque wrench to tighten the valve nut, risking that it will vibrate itself loose. In my experience Honda=have no idea about motorbikes.

Hello and thanks you for your sharing. Sometimes the data is in the marvelous British manual of НАYNES. Whenever possible, I cross sources or check it by myself (based on my own experience and knowledge). Of course, i can also ask at Honda's local garage, and there are always happy to answer my questions, even if I do not leave the motorcycle repaired in that garage, but repair it myself. This time i measured the new clutch brake PAD myself. In the HAYNES manual the nominal size is 3.35, and I measured 3.5 millimeters. You can see the lower limit I used the PAD, which is far less than what is listed in the UK guide (less than 2.5), and the component in this situation still workd well. Of course now it is workd better. I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience with your Honda garage, i hope you find a better honda mechanic. In my experience with garage it is a matter of trusting between the parties, try to find a garage you trust on. The problem is not with Honda, your problem is with a particular garage!

About the correct torque for closing screws. Screws can be closed without a torque wrench, and by the "feeling" of a mechanic, and sometimes it's much safer. Torque wrench is a mandatory tool in a licensed garage, but it is not mandatory to use the device in all situation. The appliance is important for use by beginers mechanics, but if it is not tuned to the correct torque, the problem is the same, a wrong tightening. There for, the judgment, and the "feeling" of the mechanic, is very important thing.
