What a great simple trick with a Wow ending. Noticed another comment about all the rest being BLANK for the finish. Stronger ending I think. Thanks for sharing this goodie!

Another twist maybe to replace the kings with blank cards and have all the others be normal playing cards . Not sure how it’s gonna work but I’m gonna try it

I actually thought that two identical Kings had a larger impact. Either way I felt it was a great effect! Thanks for sharing. . . . . . All the Best!

A really great trick, and that's high prize from me as card routines usually leave me cold. I've been working on this, and I've set it up so you can also do an Ace of Hearts reveal. My patter starts with "I've an ace trick to show you.." Then when the Kings reveal, I act surprised, only to additionally reveal the Ace of Hearts. Anyone can leave the cards if anyone wants to check them. Another way to do it is to do it using a very obvious trick deck (asymmetrical backs that can be seen at a distance) and then do the Kings reveal as per the video, except don't do the black card kicker. Look a bit puzzled, wondering where the aces went. Then tell them "of course you are thinking I'm using marked cards", so you pull out a standard set of set-up Bicycle cards (with care you can take the top 17 cards out of a full pack) and repeat the trick with someone else doing the dealing, except this time, reveal the 2 Red Aces. But be sure to leave the final kicker revealing all the black cards for this 2nd time you're doing it (otherwise the trick will go stale on the audience). I know the advice of not performing a trick twice, and I'm going to have to try it on an audience to see if it remains authentic. Another twist to it is the first time, use black Kings and red for all the other cards, then reverse it to reveal the 2 Red Aces and all the other cards black.

Love this packet trick 👍Thank you!! I think I'll add a retention overhand shuffle at the start so that the two cards stay up.

Thank you, I will do that one for the nieces and nephews, but tell them we are going to make a smiley face. The two red cards will be the eyes, and the black one fanned out in a curve will be the smile.

Would it perhaps be more puzzling if you used red and black cards so that when you reveal the two matching cards at the end the audience feel that the selection of the cards used was more random? or am l missing something? Great trick mind👍

Good idea. Red and black cards are also a good variant. And the two matching cards could be two Joker. There are so many ways to do the trick!

Worth trying for sure. When I tried it out on someone, there's a fantastic surprise factor when they saw the black cards reveal. I'm definitely going to try the blank card version as well!

Excellent A+ ❤ a more advanced version would be have the spectator freely shuffle the packet and you secretly have the 2 Kings palmed. Grab the packet with the 2 K and begin.❤

You can use any odd amount of odd cards.

I'm pretty sure you can't; if you use 7, for example, you'll end up with four cards kept, after which it all goes to pieces.

Doesn't work that way. I've spent most the afternoon trying to tweak the trick, and I HAVE come up with some interesting variations, but they all require 17 cards. Anyone know differently, then please post. (I wonder if it might work with MORE than 52 cards? I'm not a mathematician.)

Lovely and elegant, and not easy for the average observer to figure it out. I'm not sure I'm fond of having two of the same card, that looks a little too contrived. Better to use the two red kings, one heart and one diamond.
@steventaputoro

Haha the two kings of heart were a mistake

I'd be tempted to use two mismatched cards. 3D and JH or similar. Then claim that they match because they're both red. Looks like the trick failed, but the reveal of the other cards shows that it was, in fact, magic.
@tc1topcat
@tc1topcat 2 ай бұрын
I think the way it was presented with the two king of hearts is great because the natural instinct of most any spectator will be to grab the remaining cards to see that they are all king of hearts, but seeing they are not is an even better finale.
