I love this track type; there isn't a clearly layed out path where you just have to find the best lines, you also need to figure out the (best) path in the first place.

you should make a map where you drive in a vertical cylinder loop, where you have to dodge Finnish lines until you get checkpoints

@4:03, dappers time was 28.753, but said he finished with a 30.360 EDIT: at .25 speed it was 28.951 when he finished.

I wish the game had a way to view the top time's run. It would make for good videos, for one thing, but just a way to see strats.

@@_eighty8 I don't know if it would be possible, but what I want is for the game to record the inputs of all games, plus the "seed" for any pseudo-random events, like the cats. For most runs, immediately delete the inputs. But for the top run, or maybe even the top 3 times, save them so others can view the run played back. This takes up much less space than actually recording video of runs and a lot of games do it. I'm just not sure if it WOULD work well with the random placements of items in this game. But for these videos, I think if it was possible, it would be great for each track maker to be able to show the top time run at the end. Save us from having to go to Warcans channel to see them there!

@@KnickKnack07 That's the big thing that I think is missing from the game still. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like the dev coded it with determinism in mind, so it would be a huge task to retro-fit it. I'm sure he will do replays somehow, but they will probably need to include "snapshots" of the carts' states to interpolate between, rather than a pure input-based system. I'd be happy to be proved wrong, though!

Remember, if your trees are blue and your sky is green, you're on planet namek. I hope you already know, but just in case, it's dragon ball. Oky, piccolo is an alien from namek, he's a Namekian, it's constantly brought up. It's literally the planet where the most important story arc takes place. You know, the arc where a bunch of the most important characters are introduced, Vegeta, Frieza, and Gohan, literally the most important and popular characters directly behind goku. It's also the arc where the iconic super Saiyan is created. Its also where we learn about the origins of dragon balls, the literal namesake of the series, which are made by namekians, from planet namek. All I'm saying is, I like dragon ball. Oh, and also that if you watch dragon ball, or have dragon ball shirts and stuff, you should at least know this one fact. And lets be honest, I know you have watched dragon ball. If you are watching gaming videos on KZbin, there's a 99% chance that you have watched at least enough dragon ball to question the pissed off big green alien man with a turban. But also this is partly satirical to people who watch a show and base their personalities on liking that show. Anyways, nice track.

It would need a lot of flat sections or jumps. Else you could just slam on the brakes on every downhill section and go super slow. An added difficulty would be that the game records the fastest time for the leaderboard, not the slowest. Which means the players have to abort any runs that they don't want to count. And then once they made a run that counts, there's no use trying any further, except for practice.

They call it out in the video too, scaling the finish block messes with its ability to measure your finish time in the current build but the next update is supposed to fix it.
