One more point to consider if you only doing one trip in a year then don't go with hard panniers chose soft bag they are very cheap in 5-6k you get good quality soft bag. But if you doing more than 4-5 trips then spending on panniers make sense. Those are expensive cost 30-35k but makes sense.

For Royal Enfield panniers waterproof panniers inner bag are also available. So while traveling every day you don't need to remove panniers just take that inner bag to hotel room.

That’s a really good point thank you for mentioning..I did try that during my Ladakh trip. But the issue with it is while putting it back in. Because of the defined shape of the hard panniers you have to struggle a bit to make sure the things are arrange properly and the bag slides in smoothly.

@@AvishekLama yes you are right If you have lot of stuff then putting bag back in pannier is a bit struggle. I have those RE pannier bags but i only used ones.

soft panniers are always safe for bike and riders !! it absorbs impact if a crash .... easy to assemble and remove ,,, cheap to own.. anycase most riders dont keep expensive items in side panniers hard or soft and left unattended ... only issues is rain protection ... other than soft ones are always safe and cheap

The type of bike you ride is also a big factor. For sports tourers like Ninja 1000, hard panniers are preferable, especially ones designed aerodynamically and from an aesthetics POV. So, a set of top boxes and 2 panniers should suffice for multi-day road trips, even with 2-up riding. IMO, I think hard boxy panniers just complement the styling of adventure bikes. BTW, even soft panniers can be expensive depending on the brand (Kreiga for example).

I would like to ask one question. If you have a pillion then whether should you take the soft panniers or hard panniers? I am asking this because I want to know it might make the pillion difficult to keep his/her foot in footrest for long ride. So which one is preferable?
@AvishekLama Жыл бұрын
Soft pannier would be favourable as getting on and off from the bike he/she may hurt her leg on a hard pannier

Hi avishek! Will that shorty tail kit snap due to those panniers?
@_thatindiangamerdude_73 Жыл бұрын
Also is it possible to have a pillion with that shorty tail kit and brat seat?
@AvishekLama Жыл бұрын
Yes it can easily accommodate a pillion. My wife is around 55 kg and the short tail tidy easily takes her weight so I don’t think so the panniers will snap because of extra weight
