Its hard to see her in 2023. Hard Target is one of the best movies. She was so beautiful in that movie.... so pure. I read that she was on drugs later in her life.... so sad.

She grew up as the daughter of Joe Butler, and was in and around the entertainment industry for her entire life. The drugs were by no means, "later in life". She was chewed up and spat out her producers and handlers. Broke my heart to see how hard she was being worked and manipulated, when I worked on the crew of one of her major projects.

wow thanks. But it's not tge 1940s when studios owned actors, she might have reconsidered whatever the bosses were giving her? Actors need to say their lines with a bit of feeling, they are not extracting oil on a rig in the middle of an ocean?

I never saw Hard Target but will now. My first exposure to her was Drop Zone. Her eyes and eyebrows captivated me… something very earnest and empathetic with that look. I always felt the same way about Andie McDowell’s and a young Anne Archer’s eyes.

Yancy is both beautiful inside and out. She always was and always will be. She has done amazing things and I don’t doubt for a second that she will continue to. Nobody is perfect! I was outraged to read some of the comments that were made. I have yet to meet a person who doesn’t have any character defects. Be kind people!

She was the Angelina Jolie action movie actress wise before Angelina Jolie.

Come on! I worked with Yancy, years ago. Yes, she is a very pretty lady, but about a half, at most the size of Jolie. She is TINY. As my Mom was only 5'6" and 85 lbs, when I was born, I know of what I speak. Irrespective of her diminutive size, a couple of films with some action scenes, "before Angelina Jolie" hardly equals your comparison.
