Hard Turning

Hey, nice work and great surface finish. What model Okuma lathe is this? I just bought a LB 300 MC from 2007 but it has a small 208 mm chuck and would like to change it to something like yours to tackle larger parts. Keep up the good work

We did that job on an Okuma Captain machine. You have to be careful when going to a larger chuck. When we bought a lathe with a 10" chuck, but upgraded to a 12", they said it may cause a problem with spindle startup torque, and bearing load factor....hasn't been an issue. It's always nice to have that extra capacity
