That's a good book. I've been using the wood-database website for several years. When Eric published his book I bought it right away. I find it very useful for showing friends wood species ideas for projects I build them. Because the book describes the workability of woods, I can mark the suggestions close to my skill level with post-it notes.

Glad you got the sticker, Steve! Last year we went to the store for a $10 light fixture, but two days later we had spent $500+ and started a bathroom overhaul! :-)

I forget which woodworking channel it was, but someone said to put away 10 things every time you start work for the day. The idea is to maintain a minimum level of clean instead of cycles of very clean and very dirty. Or, in my case, very dirty and both-of-my-hammers-were-in-different-layers-of-the-same-sawdust-pile.

Hi Steve, just watched my first HG for MM. Great idea for a channel. And if you have that Jay character helping, you're headed for trouble of the the moon! lol Anyway, I'm just scripting out a few of my first videos for WayWardWoodworker. I have been a professional designer and poor man's architect for over 25 years, and a part time contractor and renovator for almost as many, so if you need any help with videos on that sort of thing, feel free to let me know! Cheers and good luck!

I sort of clean up at the end of each day I'm in the shop. By that, I mean I at least try to organize the mess. I have a one car garage for a shop which also houses all the other normal garage stuff, so basically the last hour of my day in the shop is pushing mowers and carts and all that kind of stuff back inside. Rainy days mean no shop time for me.

I clean up as I go too. So much, that sometimes I put items I need later on. I like to keep the shop clean and the closer it gets to the time I have to pick up my boys from school, the more I put away and think, I should have left that out!!

I sort of wish you wouldn't stick all your stickers on top of each other. It sort of shows a certain level of disrespect IMO. I've always felt that the purpose of a sticker is to be seen, not covered up with someone else's sticker. Especially considering that all those people took the time to send them to you. Again, just my opinion.

he has said, he sees it as a forever evolving piece of art. i thought that as soon as i saw it but the more i think about it i agree with steve more and everyone who sends in the stickers knows exacly where they are going and im sure they are just happy to be a part of his workshop if that makes sense. im sure they don't see it as disrespectful.
