I have an Infinity CR+2 and like you say Paul, it is an amazing bit of kit. Also bought mine from Air-Craft and Marin was very helpful

Have to agree, there is no better airbrush on the market than a H&S. I have several airbrushes including 2 H&S, 3 Iwatas, a Grex and the 3 Pasche brushes I started with over 30 years ago. The H&S are superb and are great for detail work. Great review, Paul.

i started with an Iwata Eclipse this past year and i love it. i have been thinking about getting a new airbrush that is more refined and more capable even though the Eclipse really suits all of my needs, this looks stunning

I have both. Keep your Iwata in good order...no comparison with the Infinity. which Iam thinking of selling

And there it is... nice review and a very nice gun. I totally share your feeling. The first real AB gun I bought was a Evo Silverine Line 2in1. I still own it and it has been upgraded over the years with the fineline caps, the triple needle seal and a quick-fix handle. If I add up the costs for all those parts, I'm looking at roughly the price of a regular Infinity 2in1. Given that both guns share the same main body, needles and nozzles, I also didn't thought that there was that much of a difference. Until I managed to get a brand new Infinity 2in1 for the price of the Solo model, thanks to having a 20% coupon from a big hobby&art wholesale chain here in Germany, who stock a small variety of airbrushes incl. the Infinity. But yeah, the trigger mechanism and the lighter handle gives the gun a whole new feeling. Being a cash-starved student I'm not going to swap my Evo for another Infinity, but it got relegated into the role of a "basic tasks" airbrush (priming, varnish, working with extremely heavy paints), while the Infinity is now my "to go" gun.

Great review thanks. I was undecided between the Evo CR Pus and Infinity CR Plus and being new to airbrushing I wondered if I'd actually use the extra features on the Infinity or whether to keep it simple being new, and this really explained them well. Cheers!

I'm almost sold on this, I'll give them a call tomorrow to see if I can get one somewhere in Madrid, otherwise it looks via amazon.de as Spain amazon doesn't have them, a guy stated in the thread below that it can also be used and yourself at around 12:15 you claim that it will suffice nicely for base painting.Now it's compressor, connector, cleaning equipmnet/liquids and the compressor. Yours is the 0.2mm which comes with the 0.4mm, I wonder if the other 0.15mm one will do for fantasy battle base painting ..though.

Nice review! I can really see what this airbrush is about. I would not recommend this one for anything other than detail, its just too fine, the overspray is tremendous and the coverage cone is still quite small, about the size of a dime, while the overspray is pitting the perimeter out to a quarter's size... so, no. Go with an old patriot 105 or up to your Iwata TRN2 with .5 needle to cover about the size of a quarter or silver dollar with no overspray, thus keeping the paint wet in the coverage area.

I wonder if you had the same problem as I do. Air leak happens at the back when I gently squeeze the trigger but disappears when I push further.

Hi, great review! I'm looking for my first airbrush, and I believe I'll go for the infinity. I'll be using it for Warmachine/hordes mostly, so small models. My question then : Should I go for the .2 or .15? I assume the smaller the needle, the finer the lines, but will it give me issues in regards to paint clogging more often using a smaller needle/nozzle? Thanks :)

The .2mm needle is the most versatile one allowing you do everything from priming, base coating, clear coating to intricate camo patterns

Great review and awesome airbrush. I´m a beginnerr and want to buy a new airbrush. Now have the Paasche HS single action. Want an airbrush for painting and detailing model trains. Like the Iwata Eclipse HP CS, the H&S Infinity and the Iwata Hi Line. What do you thing is best for my needs?

What will be a better choice, the Colani or the Infinity for 1:35, according from what I saw they can do the same both fin line's just with the Infinity you have to push a button and with the Colani you have to use a screw, I need to make a choice anybody has any advise....?

Ho da 2 mesi questo modello con 2 duse, mm.0,2 e mm.0,4, questa serve per verniciare grandi pezzi, e invece la più piccola, come figurini scala mm.54 o pezzi non tanto grandi, il colore deve essere molto più diluito che con una duse da mm.0,3, altrimenti si intasa, Life color, Valleyo, Italeri, sono un po' ostici, bisogna diluire 60 -70% acqua distillata, e 30 - 40 colore. Qui meglio le lacche tipo Alclad II, o Valleyo Air, ancora meglio acquarelli, chine, inchiostri, dal pigmenti colore molto fine. Insomma bisogna provare e sperimentare, e trovata la strada seguirla, e non spaventarsi in un nuovo strumento come aerografo diverso nella forma, o colori non conosciuti, ma sicuramente più validi, ma non troviamo sotto casa, il bello di questo hobby, é aver voglia di imparare sempre e non fermarsi mentalmente, e sentirsi sempre dentro un po' meno maestro, e un po' più alievo, per apprendere e poi insegnare al prossimo, buon lavoro modellisti del Mondo.
