you have to calculate more than one move ahead lol what's the plan after Black responds with Bxd4? Get your other knight trapped (Na4 b5) or lose a clean pawn (Ne2 Bxb2 Rb1 Ba3)?

@@fractalmuse I’m confused why you’re moving the knight on c3 in response to Bxd4. If pawn takes on d4, then sure go Ne2 and there’s no issue with Bxb2 or the knight getting stuck on the edge. But if Bxd4 then obviously just go a3 or a4 to create an escape square for your bishop. If you’re concerned about Bxc3 in response to a3 or a4, I’d just like to point out that that would be one of the worst moves I’ve ever seen in my life considering that black’s dark square bishop is literally their best minor piece by far and white’s knight on c3 isn’t doing jack.
