Magnus defeated world number one Garry Kasparov at 13 and became world number one at 19, holding the top spot for over 14 years, the longest reign in chess history. At 21, Hans Niemann, currently ranked 16th, is far from matching Magnus' achievements or level.

Hans controlled the game at the beginning, and had very solid positions. I thought till the middle of the game that he would win it. But chess is a facinating game and it's really amazing to see the turnaround done by Magnus. Well done ! What a game 💪

Hans should be loud over the board not over social media. Hans hasn’t achieved 1/10th of magnus’s accomplishments given his current age, yet he dares run loud. Hans knows that trash talks are more valued than the skills in today’s social media era. It’s time he should embrace humility and improve his skills.

@@davida.4933 it was 1 game each and 1 draw before this final match. It goes to show Hans didn't cheat imo. If he cheated he won't be in quart finals playing Magnus. Also @MadMax-bht no one compares to Magnus except maybe 1 or 2 players who have ever played the game. Hans did really good and should be applauded, he is not in the same league as Magnus but no one in current generation is. I think Han's is good for the sport. it brings drama and excitement. Both should be applauded here and don't forget Hans Is only 21 years old. He has a chance to do well in his career, no point comparing to Magnus.
