I have an experience like that... I didn't suck water but I held my breath so long I was asphyxiating and passing out underwater. My god the feeling of the heaving was like my lungs were punching me in the back of the eyeballs... vision fading out and the insane burning in my body... I had gotten tangled up in some trash someone threw in there, specifically the child safety belt on a shopping cart got itself real tight around my leg when I jumped off the pier. I managed to keep my wits and free myself but I couldn't move my body and the air in my lungs was what carried me to the surface... if someone was sitting up there to dunk me back under after I probably would have died just from the psychological shock. Holy hell I could not imagine going through something like these guys were doing after being absolutely wiped out beforehand or even fresh... these guys are beasts just for even making it that far.

@@mishai3326 Once. Laying on my back in the snow after getting lost and walking in the knee-deep snow for half a day. Was worn out. Fell down. Didn't get up. Apologizing in my head to my parents. Heard my mother shouting for me and suddenly I had a second wind to get up and trudge in her direction. Her and dad were out on the snowmobile looking for me. I was a stupid teenager then and took the wrong path to the lake, nearly fell through said lake and got turned around. Ended up in a farmer's field a good ways away. It was pitch black out and I didn't even know which direction I was going in that barren flat field. The path I took was through the woods. Was out there for some 9 hours in the freezing cold. (Was nice when the sun was up.) Made it to the fence line where dad was about to cut down the fence to get the sled through to me all soaked and frozen. Good ol' canadian wilderness stories run in the family. It's amazing how much energy you find you still have when you think you are done for and something spurs you on. I'm 34 now. I wonder how I would have fared in the army. The canadian forces seems like a bit of a joke compared to various ones around the world... not a dig at the people serving in it or anything. I am a chubby weak city slicker now and I wish I could go back out there to the country. I know that incident sure wised me up in a hurry.

They go through exams(academic, physical and PI) to just get in the army and then they go for basic training from there they head to specialisations training then they go to their regiments and then they are eligible to apply for para SF or ghatak training, if selected then they head to this "academy" and then if they pass the selection phase of 90 days then they go for specialisations training again ( armaments, physical conditioning, tactics, airborne deployments, foreign joint deployments, joint trainings with Russian and/or British, US or Israeli, French, SF teams depending on your specialisations or mission requirements) during this phase almost all of them will learn the job of a medic, some will learn to operate radio and handle communications, some even go for other technical specialisations after this they are trained for almost one more year then they are deployed on special operations. I am always fascinated by these incredibly unique types of individuals, which is why I enjoy learning more about what they have that I don't have and likely never will It's as if they're superhuman, whether they are in the SAS, the US Army Special Forces, the Indian Paras or any other elite and/or high-performing group of individuals. Just the physical activity that these sorts of people go through in a single morning of training would be a morning that I would never forget the rest of my life, and I would probably consider it one of the most difficult days of my life as well. But then they do it again and again under the most seemingly impossible circumstances. I'm absolutely fascinated at two opposite observations I've made in life the most: The first observation is how weak and wilfully ignorant so many humans are, how unknowledgeable about our history we can be despite easier access to knowledge than ever before in our history (leading us to keep making the same mistakes repeatedly, and needlessly), and how unwilling "we" as a species often are to attempt to better ourselves and thus to better society. Yet the second thing that fascinates me is, paradoxically, how intelligent and thoughtful the best of us can be, how we can learn from mistakes and still create a trend to an undeniably better living conditions globally on average than in recorded human history, and how brave and strong and selfless (once again the best of us) can be to give up personal comfort and make great sacrifice for the betterment of others, including those whom we may have never even personally met. As a whole, we certainly run a wide path from the best of us to the worst of us. My very best to India and every other nation/individual who stops by to read this (in my very best to those who do not stop by to read this, but they will not read this to know that I hope my best for them!) 🇺🇸🇳🇪 - Todd, Georgia, USA

In the finnish armed forces, 1994, we had an excersize that lasted for five days, no extreme stress stuff as these indian guys but it was 24 hours a day of military duties, setting up mortars, moving between camps, firing, watchposts, preparing primary and secondary positions, we never got the chance to sleep, we were awake (or supposed to be) for 120 hours (5x24). I managed to catch perhaps 7 hours of sleep in short 15-20 minutte sequences as i fell to sleep while eating and similiar. I still, to this day today, remember clearly seeing trees walk past me in the forests and i clearly heard rocks speaking to eachother..but the crazy thing is, my buddy who was equally tired as me said "oh, ok" when i told him about the tree that just walked past us, i bet he saw the same hallusinations as i did. At the end, i fell asleep standing up while standing up as a gunner on a two-part belted vehicle moving in terrain, atleast i think i slept because i can not remember anything of the trip back from the excersize. Para SF is a versatile unit where various units train for a particular type of warfare in a particular geographical area. For this various units were raised though originally there were only 3 Commando units : 9 Para , 10 Para and 1 Para. Later Para SF was expanded to 4 Para , 21 Para , 2 Para and 3 Para with new units 11 Para and 12 Para quite recently raised. Everyone unit specializes in a particular type of warfare which gives the whole Para SF ability to combat in every sphere of warfare. 1 Para SF : Tactical Needs/Urban Warfare . They were established in 1761 and converted to SF role in 1978 and are kept in reserve for specialized type of ops and urban warfare ( similar to NSG ). 2 Para SF : Mountain Warfare and CI/CT duties. Known as ‘Predators’ they were established in 1797 and converted to SF in 2000 . 3 Para SF : Desert Warfare. Known as “Russels’s Vipers’ they were established in 1813 and converted to SF role in 2002 . 4 Para SF : Known as ‘Daggers’ they specialize in Mountain Warfare and CI/CT duties. They were raised in 1961 and converted to SF role in 2003. 9 Para SF : Known as “Pirates’ they are the best in war business among all Para units and were the first Para Commando Battalion established in 1966. They train for mountain warfare and CI/CT duties. 10 Para SF : They are the sister unit of 9 Para SF and are known as “Desert Scorpions’ and train for desert warfare and CI/CT duties. 11 Para SF : They train for jungle warfare and CI/CT duties. 12 Para SF : Known as ‘Dirty Dozens’ they train for jungle warfare and Ci/CT duties. 21 Para SF : Known as ‘Waghnakas’ they train for jungle warfare and Ci/CT duties. 5 Para , 6 Para and 7 Para are Airborne Units raised to wreak hell behind the enemy lines and don’t necessarily specialize in any particular type of warfare though they stress upon acquiring various type of warfare skills like anti-hijacking , unconventional warfare and more.

I am actually impressed. Your knowledge without even knowing the language is good.your experience is clear here. Most people just give review.things you said reminded me no matter where you go. A soldier knows a soldier. You did not understood some of the things. Most importantly is they were not asked questions there to write down. They were asked to tell the details they saw on their training. Like a dummy or a sign and location and color so on. I had to say it because it's a important one
