So how do you feel about Paper 3? Any revision/exam tips?
@two6972 жыл бұрын
I don't like paper 3. It's not that I'm bad at it but I find it boring. Also, I don't think I don't think we should have to draw lines of best fit when we have computers that can do it (more accurately) for us

From university virtually all linear analysis will be done by computer. Personally I think the spec will be a lot more relevant if more data analysis was done using software as it is in real research.

Do more questions and not stress too much about how hard it is. As the grade boundaries are significantly lower compared to other papers. If its hard for you, uts hard for everyone. No need to panic.

I just took a mock exam on Year 1 physics by myself and received an A after checking! It's all because of you, sir; your efforts are truly remarkable. Although you used background music in several courses, which made it difficult to focus, HAHA, but I turned on the subtitles and the lessons were quite instructive. Thank you sincerely, you're the best of the best. I'm hoping for an even higher mark in my upcoming exams.

Thank you so much for the kind words! I really appreciate it! And yes..haha I very quickly caught on the music and have not included any since maybe 2020 or so : ) Good luck revising!

hi how would you recommend revising for paper 3 considering its kind of a mash up of all topics. Is it a good idea trying to go through every experiment? this is for OCR A by the way!

I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on CIE A level Physics, a lot of the multiple choice questions (Paper 1) are actually quite similar to NSAA section 1 questions. It’s also not modular, so there are 3 papers that cover all topics from AS Physics and 2 papers that cover topics from A2 Physics.

That's really interesting! I'll have a look. Drop a comment with a link to a paper with some tricky questions and which question number it is. I'll have a browse!

Hi sir do you have any advice on revising paper 3 other than doing practice questions?
@zhelyo_physics2 жыл бұрын
lots! will be coming out in the next few days : ) the most important one will be to seek the hardest questions from the advanced info on previous papers.

Do your videos of a level physics also suffice for edexcel?
@zhelyo_physics Жыл бұрын
Absolutely, always check with your spec though, there are a couple of minor differences. Great to use the spec as a revision checklist too!

Do you have any tips to go from A to A*
@zhelyo_physics2 жыл бұрын
You might have seen this but this is probably my biggest tip for this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jHbck4WhmsRpnas For an A* you want to be scoring above 85% comfortably. This means lots of practice and also being aware of any common mistakes to avoid any marks, e.g. forgetting the square in -GMm/r^2, understanding uncertainties and experiments etc. You can do it, good luck!
