Hardknott Pass (My first bike drop)

My mate nearly got stuck on his Rocket 3 at the easy end of the Hardknott a few years back. To be fair he eventually handled it like a boss. I on the other hand had no problems whatsoever on my Street Triple R. It's important to travel at the right time of year and avoid weekends.

Grass can be very treacherous for rear wheel grip, even when the grass is not inclined off the road. You recovered well, and hopefully there were few stones to cause any serious damage.

fair play for showing video. Not the most sensible thing to do park on grass on this pass. But hey we all learn. lots of adverse chamber always catches inexperienced riders out

Ah, we've all done it. Unless you have knobby tyres treat green grass like ice (stay upright and goes easy on throttle\ brakes).

your own fault what sort of ego wants to take photos of everything.........some time ago I replaced my bike helmet......I wanted a black one.....and was told they didnt sell many black helmets because bikers moaned they showed the dirt......what kind of real man worries about dirt fgs.....old school bikers are far superior to those on the roads today

@@MrGraham2408 Double white lines where the line nearest you is solid. This means you MUST NOT cross or straddle it unless it is safe and you need to enter adjoining premises or a side road. You may cross the line if necessary, provided the road is clear, to pass a stationary vehicle, or overtake a pedal cycle, horse or road maintenance vehicle, if they are travelling at 10 mph (16 km/h) or less. Laws RTA 1988 sect 36 & TSRGD regs 10 & 26 Guess this clarifies it gents 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@kevindarkstar Thank you, a very accurate satement, I think you'll find those things in the beginning of the video are neither pedal cycles, horses or road maintenance vehicles, they are actually cars and nor are they stationary which makes that manouvre illegal.
