They were faster on the straights, harder on the brakes... And you still caught up to them every time! Nice riding, especially considering the size of the road and the traffic. This looks like a bucket list destination for every rider!

nah stelvio isnt that good for example passo gardena nockalm strase or grossglockner are way better or even roads around Mariazzel are way better than stelvio. In my opinion Stelvio is the the worst passo i have ever ridden

Fantastic! I've already loved the part 1, but the part 2 is even better! 😍 Now, there is probably an Italian motovlogger who has posted a video of his ride at the Stelvio pass, asking to his subscribers: "Do you know this guy riding a Honda CB 500 in touring mode with a GoPro? It was f**cking hard to pass him, and he kept following us so easily..." 😉 I

Hello friend . Dacian/ Rumanian rude here 😉 . Just some curiosities , if you don't mind. 1 : CB 500 is air cooler. Doesn't it overheats on this long rides, especially forced/hard riden like this ? 2 : Did you tried '90-'98 Bandits ? What do you think of them ? 3 : Schaaf sounds german. Are you german from italy or just italian from Tyrol 🤔 ?

Nice ride. In 2014 after having watched lots of Alps Riding vidoes I contacted a guy down there named Derpanzer Bau. I went there for a month from the UK and rode (& drank) with them. I learned so much and it made me a better, faster rider. Love the Alps. wish I could live close to there. France & Italy have way more respect for 2 wheels than the British. In the UK everyone has Island mentality. They all own their little piece of road. And I agree, Italians are crazy but we love them!

You really are a threat to all of those who think they are better because they got bigger bikes. I saw those bikers shrinking for every turn you kept hanging on their tale. You are a calm rider. And that 500 Honda seems to be on the same pulse. While the other bikes are screaming the Honda is newer “stressed”. It seems so balanced. I like that David vs Goliat “theme”.

I drove the stelvio this summer aswell. I ride a Honda Africa Twin, about 50-55HP, and i had to keep up with my mates. A BMW 1200GS 125HP, A ducati racer 140HP and a ducati multistrada with 160HP. For me it was a victory just to keep up.

Geile Aufnahmen!

Never when riding like this. I usually only use the rear when going very slow or in town.

Schaaf, you have no idea how lucky you are. These roads are AMAZING! Here in Perth, Western Australia, the roads are flat, straight and very boring (not to mention there aren't many roads here to explore). You not only ride amazing, twisty roads but look at that view! Wow! Please can you tell me, if I were to visit Italy, how much would it cost to hire a motorcycle? Do you know if tourists can buy motorcycles from the locals? I really want to go to this very road and explore this amazing country by motorcycle.

you can rent motorcycles in most big cities. No idea about the costs though.

#schaaf you're such a great rider , great cornering ! I would love yo meet up and ride some day . Btw I'm just 21 (yes i think that's young), and I've ridden R1,CBR1000RRR-SP, ZH2, Ducati Panigale V4, Daytona 675r, R6, Ninja ZX 10, ninja Zx6, Ninja 300, RE 350,Himalayan,650s, t100, and speed triple, i had owned a R1, but sold it for other reasons and investments, and got a cycle instead of the bike, and now i am looking forward to getting a Trident 660 , or the Triumph Speed triple, cuz even after riding all i have ridden, ( even been to track a few times) is that no matter what, 200hp is not needed , and all these bikes are great, these 200hp r1s , Panigales, e.t.c, are pretty useless from ergonomics, useless low end, in the street what i suggest is the street triple, or the speed triple . Cuz : Such a beautiful sound , the exhaust sound changes as the rev increases , from sophisticated in the low to the roaring in the high , Mechanically (a mechanical engineer here) , and as a bike enthusiast, 3 Cyls are the best when it comes to power delivery, low end torque + top end rush , and due to triumphs T-plane crankshaft (perfect secondary balance) this thing revs very high for a engine that size , and reaches redline quicker than any I4... I've plenty experience, owned an R1 (sold last year and got a cycle), r6, zx 10r, the busa, Zh2, RSV4, panigale, cbr 1000, and z900 , daytona 675, street triple 675RS, RE bikes, and what not , but i find three cyls the best among inline 4s and 2s (Vs are better ). (Except some radicals i4s ).

Also , would you pick the R1, or the Speed triple 1200RS (2021 with 180hp). ? Big question cuz i sold my R1 and got a cycle and used the money for helping my father with the house. Am looking forward to a trident 660 next . I want a proper review of it from you!

Maybe it's my master cylinder that's just a bit tired. I've got a 1999 CB500 with EBC HH pads & HEL lines (& no air) but it still takes a bit of lever action for the brakes to properly bite. I've also got an '07 FZ1N too though so it takes a bit of getting used to when jumping back onto the CB. Pic of my babies: i.imgur.com/e8uvLoE.jpg
