You get your hands on the coolest/newest stuff and know exactly what to do with it. Looks very low maintenance. Those eductors are massive! The hanging/inline L2's are genius too. Only pump i have ever run that lasted 5+ years, were those vectras. So like....is this freshwater or nah?

that pump is an eye sore but damn the flow it seems to do in the tank seems amazing. Clearly a piece of equipment I will look into for my dream tank build. Can't wait to see this forever home coming to life. The choice of rock is so nice it does as you said give a natural effect, even with no coral it has an organic look.

Been using Loginov’s skimmer for the past year or so. Crazy air-to-water surface area for 1/3 of the price. I’m more than satisfied. You should verify the inner air tube is fully inserted into the printed part though, the depth is a bit elusive and it requires a bit of force to put in place. I believe this may be the root cause of the “white noise” you are experiencing. As for lightning - after a year with the Uno by ReeFi I can tell that oh boi does it grow and color up acros. I’ll also plan to try the new, recently announced Uno 2.0 Pro over my future frag tank I’m designing. 260w for 360$, 114 Cree leds, better spread and more blues all in the same package as the previous model. You really can’t beat this up. It pumps out more Wattage in spectrum than the XR30 G6 in a XR15 sized package 🤯 Good luck man, wish you all the best!
@ReefBuildersVideo2 жыл бұрын
Nice to hear feedback from another A&C user, I will double check and make sure the inner air tube is fully inserted. Those Uno lights really offer crazy value like the A&C skimmer.

Love how the person filiming this, is on a chair to film you. Love the middle part of rock (and yeah, those white PVC...), I feel this is a case where you need to break some rock and glue small pebble to the PVC to hide them One of my tank as been empty for 4 years now, so don't feel bad for the start of this project ;) Commenting for algorimth...

mix of radion xr15 blues for that nice blanket of coral glowing light, then a few a500x kessils for the white, shimmer-ey natural look would be wicked! im doing something similar myself on my 6x30x30 system, with vectra l2s as my closed loops! courtesy of one of the first vids on this tank build

This is the build that I am excited about! 100% dedication to just a single type of corals. My only question/idea is if you couldn't repurpose the "easy reef tank" from across with the clowns in it by connecting it to the sump and then make it into a smooth skin acro tank..... now wouldn't that be a sight a 400gallon high flow/light Acro tank and a 30 gallon deep water acro tank all in one system ;)
@ReefBuildersVideo2 жыл бұрын
Funny you should mention it, but I've really thought about making the CADE reef tank more focused on DW/Naked Acros, but hadn't thought about connecting them

I'd do 2/3rds Diffused Radion Blue's with 1/3rd Kessil, personally. But, I'm biased. Arguably, a similar mix of Blue's & Pro's would also look fantastic and achieve the same balance. The Blue's are a great primary fixture. But a secondary warm source for peak hours seems to be a solid compliment, filling in the spectrums the Blue's lack (in abundance). As their is something nice about seeing "peak sun" closer to a 5500-6500°K. While having a strong 14000-20000°K the rest of the photoperiod. Nice to see it running. It looks glorious with the dual closed loop, and what can only be described as a "cannon" lol. It looks like a super fun tank. I'm sure it will look even better once your coral flats clear out. Though, I adore your coral flats, seeing them empty I'm sure will be bitter sweet.
@ReefBuildersVideo2 жыл бұрын
That's a well considered comment! We added one coral yesterday and man it looks so good in the diffused daylight before the lights come on, the reefer in me feels compelled to get as much blue as possible by mixing in G6 Blues but then I know these corals will actually look their best under nearly bright white daylight spectrum, so I hope to use fixtures which enables both options.

Am partial to the choice of 10-12 Radion xr15's g6 blues;) As I sprung for g5 to g6 upgrade on my xr15 g5 blues for my Acro tank;) Better spread/coverage verses xr30's.. You can always run half ur xr15 Blues on a different program and "whiten them up" like the Pro version.. From my own experience building my own multi channel dimmable LED lights.. A 4:1 or 5:1 ratio of blue to white LEDs is a better ratio.. And your able to turn fixture (all channels) up to a usable (usable for coral) 100% verses dimming the white light down.. The Pro version is for "our eyes" and "picture taking" (@ 100% on all channels) and not so much for the corals benefit - so i believe / my thoughts as an electrician 39yrs/ R&D & trial & error on my own light builds over 40yrs in hobby and the ever evolving new light sources;)
@omarakay68422 жыл бұрын
Definitely radion G6s for the Color and distribution of light, would also look cool if you can add them without it all looking messy maybe 2/3 Kessils which just give the tank such a unique and natural shimmer.

First that Abyzz pump is ridiculous. If it weren't for the closed loops I would say mount it in the back corner and hide it like in your other tanks. For the lights why not do something different and mix brands. I have a mix of the sky and kessils on my new build and I like being able to have a different mix of light and different effects depending on the time of day.

are you sure the vibration from the closed loop overtime will not cause leaks? I would feel so much better if the pumps were supported
@ReefBuildersVideo2 жыл бұрын
If you go back and see how we routed the hole to precisely fit the gasket you'd know there's just no way that it could leak as the gasket is compressed from all sides. Furthermore, I had every intention of attaching/mounting the pumps to something but that 1.5" PVC is pretty stiff, I would ADD more tension than I would relieve by mounting them somehow, but great points overall.
