When you ask did JESUS ever exist , that's like asking do GOD exist , and is the Bible true . Because JESUS is written in the beginning as being the WORD that was with GOD and became FLESH and dwell with us for a while . So the question is do you believe in GOD written WORD , which is all man has to tell him about his own existence and future and his end location , and most of all who Created him / man . But if man prefer creating his own god that neither claim to create him /man , nor claim to have created the heavens and the earth in everything in the world . Next tell me who is your god and where do your god dwell at ? if you have a different faith than what the Holy Bible teach , my final question is who is the author / teacher of your faith ? Shalom / Peace .

The Christian brothers never responded to the question about evidence for Jesus’ existence. Ironically, when Ryan asked Jerome for proof of Jesus’ existence, Jerome instead continued talking about the importance of following Jesus' teachings to achieve liberation. He concluded his monologue by claiming that he was providing references so Christians could counter critics who accuse them of not answering questions. Yet, despite all this, Jerome never actually addressed the question. In my opinion, this was a pivotal moment that revealed the true nature of the discussion. Since the creators of the show are Christians, the Christian panelists were not held accountable for their responses and were often cheered on after their comments-demonstrating too much of a bias that is inappropriate for any TV or internet host. Additionally, Damon dismissed John Henrik Clarke’s relevance as an historian but conveniently avoided commenting on Cheikh Anta Diop when Jarrod referenced his work. Would Damon have claimed that Cheikh Anta Diop’s groundbreaking research on African culture and history was a fallacy? Damon also argued that Christianity existed in Africa 200 to 300 years before the transatlantic slave trade. However, ancestral worship had been practiced in Africa for thousands of years before the Common Era. Honestly, I would have love to see Dr. Umar Ifatunde in this debate. I encourage everyone who listened to this podcast to read the following books, which are well-referenced and contain numerous footnotes and sources, meeting the standards Damon and Jerome seem to require: * The African Origin of Civilization by Cheikh Anta Diop * The Destruction of Black Civilization by Chancellor Williams * Stolen Legacy by George G.M. James

I am both Christian and Pan Africanist and absolutely loved this; I felt very enriched by my two Christian brothers. In all actuality unapologetic Christianity and unapologetic black nationalism are very much compatible, and I am not surprised to here the very deep African roots that are all over the Bible. From Yeshua's ancestry, to the African roots of the writer of the gospel of Mark. Really like the way Pastor Damon mentioned the radical black revolutionaries who were unapologetically Christian, Maleek lost me when he said they were not liberators and really showed himself up. Also, Pastor Jerome referencing pre-colonial West African Christian communities was very enriching, a lot of the time I am the only Christian in the room when I am reasoning with my Pan African brothers and this has definitely given me language, perspective and information that will help me defend my position but of course in the spirit of love, community and black liberation. One love.

Critical thinking is required. He was arguing that the Abrahamic faiths were not organic to Africa. We didn't create these religions because they are not ours. Christianity was the invention of the Greeks to control the population within their empire from Alexandria, Egypt. After the Greeks lost power, The Romans took over using Christianity to colonize people in their empire. Then the Catholic Church used it to enslave Africans. Black folks are at the bottom of every category imaginable according to statistics. How has Christianity benefitted black folks in the long haul because it for damn sure benefitted white folks.

The foundation for Christianity and Christianity itself has been in Africa way before the white man got there. Let’s focus on ACTUAL history.

@livelaughlovin_lifeafter50Ай бұрын
@@stablsed309 We have a tendency to generalize when talking about Africa as if certain things apply to every single person on the continent or even a particular region of Africa. You can have a group of Africans who were christians in a particular region but maybe there were a certain number who didn't convert to christianity who lived in that region as well. Just because christianity was in a certain region doesn't mean that every single person in that region accepted it and embraced it. It's just like in some families, the mother goes to church and takes her children but the father stays home and is not a christian. And there have been mothers in certain households who have even allowed their children at a certain age to decide whether they wanted to go to church or not so they may have stayed home with the father and didn't become a Christian. Maybe some of the people that were taken into slavery weren't christians and didn't embrace christianity although they lived in that region.
@stablsed309Ай бұрын
@@livelaughlovin_lifeafter50Thanks for the response - are you suggesting Africans that were Christian pre colonization were spared from slavery by God, while those who weren't were given up to it? If this is the case, why has God allowed even so-called Christian African nations to fall into pillage and disarray post slavery? The question remains - why isn't the Christian God showing up for Africans in real time, in a material way?
