Well deserved fellas, I found your channel through your smallmouth videos when I was living in southern WV. You were a big inspiration for me to get into fly fishing now I spend almost every weekend on the water with the fly rod in east TN. cant thank you guys enough for making fly fishing seem approachable, and showing off our great waters here in Appalachia.
@hardmanfishingАй бұрын
That’s awesome! Those smallmouth videos are why I started the channel honestly. But I’m actually headed to East TN here soon, going to try to catch a brown trout or two 😂 thanks for watching and thanks for the support!

Those of us stuck at work behind a desk or worse do nothing but salivate when watching your videos. I'm proof of that. I may not be able to get away when I'd like, but I know I can always click on your channel and completely immerse myself as if I was walking the beat with you. Grateful for your time and keeping me from total boredom while stuck working for the man.

As someone who has also worked for the man his entire life I know the feeling 😂 glad I could provide some much needed relief! Thanks for watching and glad you enjoy the videos

Catching the fish matters more than how. That's the beauty of fishing! As long as regulations allow catch them how you want to.

I really enjoy your fabulous videos. To escape the stress of everyday life in the middle of beautiful nature and have a moment of peace. I really envy your waters, they are an absolute dream. When the fish bite and the fighting fun begins, what more could an angler's heart want?

You've created a fantastic channel, Jon! You should be very proud of all your efforts, and how well your content is received. Not only here in the US, but with viewers from several foreign countries. Big congratulations on your success! I and all your subs look forward to hundreds and thousands more days on the stream with you!

Great job, I moved from Trout Heaven Vermont to Martinsburg, WV 10+ years ago & have done my share of trout fishing. One fish that threw me for a loop was when I caught my first "Goldie", never saw or even heard of Golden trout. Sweet fishing!!

You've been my favorite creator ever since I found your channel and I think you deserve 500,000 subscribers! Your videos are what really got me into fly fishing, and even though it's been tough at times, I stuck with and it was one of the best decisions of my life. I always get excited when I see that you've posted a new video. I dream of catching fish like the ones that you catch. Also, I think you and your brother should go way out west and fly fish for steelhead in Oregon (my home state) or northern California. Thank you for sharing your fly fishing adventures with us.

I enjoy your videos. I like the unpretentious attitude. I'm from Ann Arbor and a avid flyfisherman. Your early urban style fishing is much like when I started. Northville Mi. hatchery park (Rouge River) was the 1st home of the German Brown trout. Soon after the Baldwin and Pere Marquette. Tight lines

Congratulations guys! You deserve it. I’m also born and raised in WV. Been to your area a few times but never fished there. The browns you guys catch are legendary! Keep it up. BTW, I also caught a giant brookie out of a native stream that looked stocked. Sometimes I wonder if they just lose the some of the patterns and bars as they get larger. I released the fish, will never know for sure.

You caught that female fatbow with the tail all tore up and replied you weren’t sure what happened to it? Male fish will bite the tail to induce the laying of the eggs, plus the female while making the red wears the tail off; I’ve noticed it more often on the males from bigger males “biting their rivals “ off the reds to insure they fertilize the eggs… I caught a 27” male I knew HAD To be the king of the river for miles in each direction; until I landed his majesty: only to discover he was beat down to half of his tail!!! This monster Mr.BigBrown was merely “a punk in the stream “ ! Hah to catch a phrase from “Last Child”. Aerosmith. pun intended 🎣
@johnobrien1838Ай бұрын
My biggest brook trout was caught staging at the mouth of Little Imigration in a snow storm and was 24” and weighed 6.93lbs.👀 let’s go boyz: lookout 😅

Hey pal the let's go is kinda not as cool anymore so maybe shelve that idk
@garydehey3705Ай бұрын
You are not angling the tail up high enough. The cool clowns on IG hold it much higher. Or you could just hold the fish normal and just be yourself and not trying to be a clown. They don’t even do that anymore, now they put the tail in their mouths. You won’t be cool till you do that.
