He should atleast read the UN resolutions before speaking about them. Ofcourse the Indian leadership led by Jawahar lal Nehru had accepted the UN resolutions, according to which a plebiscite would be held, but it was subject to some prior conditions, as laid down by the UN which were never really completed. One of which were that the Pakistani army both regular and irregular would vacate the state of Jammu and Kashmir, followed by partial Indian withdrawal. Only then a plebiscite could be held. But the original conditions were never really completed as the Pakistani army did not withdraw from the areas it had occupied. Thus rendering the UN resolutions null and void. Now, the present scenario is much more complex. No elected government in India will ever have the mandate to redraw existing boundaries. That is something they should know. I wonder does nobody see the hypocrisy of these separatists. None of their children or family members ever have been hurt or got shahadat for the cause of the state and all are leading a perfect and comfortable life elsewhere, whereas they continuously incite the youth, ask them to sacrifice their life, and spread hate among brothers.

Over and above in Simla they agreed that all matters shall be solved bilaterally. There goes the UN resolution. Then again in Kargil they lost a war. A vanquished state a nuisense state at that can't have any claims. As regards people of J&K how come Gilani is there mouth piece? The pundits, dogras, qadianis, Shias, Buddhists, Gujjars, bakarwals do any of them want plebiscite? Do all the Sunnis agree with him? How about the 50 odd factions of JKLF? Does he or the Hurriyat has any follower in Jammu Ladakh so called Azad Kashmir Gilgit Baltistan? He is just creating nuisense so that he may keep getting money from Pakistan.
