I appreciate this kind of content. There's so much talk about this and that... It's getting to a point where new PC owners have similar looking PCs. Sure... great...but tbh... That takes away the creative and personal investment in building one's PC. If I ever get a client, I build a list of PC parts and components that isn't similar to my previous clients' PCs. I go through a whole entire talk with my client and then personalize a PC made just for them. That way it's something more appreciated and something they can take pride in.

very true on bottlenecking discussion. ang struggle kasi natin diyan is the games that we play utilize the CPU, GPU, and even memory differently. so other games will push the CPU, the others will push the GPU. so bottlenecking relative to what software they are using.

Totally agree with the bottleneck.

I'm in the process of creating a good desktop build in preparation for College within the next year/few months. When I found out about the idea of bottlenecks, I started panicking that I can't use an RX 6600 XT with my future Ryzen 5 5500, but a portion of me was thinking maybe it's not that big of a deal. I ended up replacing the theoretical specs of my theoretical PC with an RX 5600X which costs about 9k and just a regular RX 6600. Glad to see someone actually speak about these ideas in my mind about how this may not be such a good idea. Now that I think about it, I can easily just upgrade the Ryzen 5 to a better Ryzen 7 in the future and keep the RX 6600 XT, as it'd be considerably cheaper since I won't have that need to get a new graphics card. Life saver talaga kayo!

Personally, yung investment sa handheld is for peeps na gusto ng "set & forget" when it comes to peripherals since pwede naman din niyang gamitin iyon without having to spend extra on laptops with dGPUs because Parsec exists and it's still a PC by heart. Though mga Autodesk users wouldn't care about handhelds kasi di nila kaya mag-render on the go, gamers with decent rigs and stable connections can use Parsec to remote into their desktops without having to carry the whole thing everywhere kahit ITX man iyan, plus mas maliit ang handhelds compared to laptops and you don't have to bring controllers to mark you're off work.

100% agree with the first advice. I saw someone on a fb group with a 5600g and 1000w psu. I told him he could've skimped a bit on the psu and actually bought a gpu instead, or spend more on other parts nalang. I got bullied in the comments lol.

nice video. For the ITX build I would recommend it to people who just needs an office/surfing/netflix PC or even the ones who wants to play esports titles. You can easily use a low profile 1650 that could handle most esports title and does not need an additional wire hence easy to install. When it comes to the point of handheld PC, I'm kinda baffled with people who preach futureproofing but also recommend buying steamdeck. Handheld is worse than laptop in upgrade path.

Regarding the topic of playing on a handheld vs PC, in my mind, they don't have to fight each other. Once you accept the fact that you can play graphically light games on a handheld, like those with 2d/3d pixel graphics, you won't go back playing them on your desktop. For example, I'm playing "Dave The Diver" on my handheld. I don't need the horsepower of my PC to play the game, so it just makes more sense to play it on the handheld PC.

I agree with you sir, my personal exp before, wayback 90's, generic PSU works just fine, na obsolete na lang ang ribbon type, at nauso ang mga sATA diba? so I agree with that and just want to ask your opinion, i have a stocked old i3 6th gen, tinatamad ako ayusin bec of work, do you think, ok na lagyan ko nalang ng 1650 ti na GPU just to use it for office, Canva, and 2 monitors? i'm not a gamer, but I play nba2k21 lang, boring, pero I usually, multi task, as in, not rendering, pero more on heavy browser window, I use 3-4 browser, iba ibang clients. what do you think? tia!

The PSU advice is actually lost in translation to you, imo. Generic and un-known are not the same thing. For example: Great-wall is a generic brand. It's often ugly as hell and cheap. However, they are the OEM for some name brand psus like Corsair. Same thing with Superflower. Seasonic also fits the category of generic, but as a brand name they've elevated their recognition to normies. This is very different from, for example, Thortech. They sold faulty PSUs that had terrible electrical noise properties and poor energy processing. You could check OC3D's video on that. tl;dr you actually do need to do your due diligence on cheaper power supplies, even if it's name brand (see Gigabyte's exploding PSUs). Going name brand simply means you value time over money

As someone who tried a friend's Steam Deck during out of the city travels, I thoroughly enjoyed it and I'm considering purchasing one for myself. I don't see the Steam Deck as a replacement for desktops, its more of a nice supplement for it especially when you actually don't have access to your main rig. Plus, even though playing triple A games on it is pretty acceptable, its great for genres like roguelikes, platformers, etc. It's also a great party gaming device when having a vacation with family and friends, just bring extra controllers (my friend also brought three 8bitdo gamepads and they're awesome and very compact)

I agree for the most part except for handhelds. There are games that work well with the handheld formfactor like roguelikes, platformers, turn based rpgs, fighting games, and emulators are fantastic on the handheld. Full rigs might be better in every way but you can't replicate the experience of playing Tekken with the homies during your break without much setup. Valve treats the Steam deck as a console and they aren't gonna make a new one every couple of years so it's a matter of perspective on how you see it. The big advantage of a handheld PC is current gen games being able to play portably which the Switch can't even do. If you do want to get into handheld pc gaming you don't need to be hung up on the the best graphics, frame rates, etc as you worst enemy is going to be battery life. Playing on 40 fps/hz being the best balance of battery life and smoothness.

i agree with the topics in this video it all depends on the use case ng user kung pang office use lang and hindi naman heavy load on the cpu ok na ang generic basta goods din and may proper maintenance ang pc. And sa future proofing it depends on the game developers kung ano ang recommended specs and minimum specs ng game. In the end of the day use case pa rin ni user ang mag dictate kung ano ang best na pc build ang para sa kanila. good job on this video btw hardware sugar!

I also think you kind of missed a big part of the handheld zeitgeist and not even debunking any actual advice, really. The path toward handheld pc gaming is actually a bit of a misnomer: the Steamdeck plays games like an actual console, it just so happens to have pc capabilities due to KDE Plasma desktop onstalled on top of its Arch Linux base. Linux gaming on PC hardware is becoming more well known and Valve with its Steamdeck actually paved the way for better cross-platform compatibility. In fact, it actually ties into your own advice about not worrying about futureproofing. If you're confident that your hardware would be good for the next 10 years, you'll have SteamDeck to thank for proving its ability to outperform newer technologies in certain aspects. Standardization is key to reducing e-waste. The confusion comes from the wave of Windows based handhelds that try to bring full pc experiences to the format.

Thanks hardware sugar dami talagang info and knowledge na matututunan sainyo lalo na ung experience nyo is dito talaga focus locally sa philippines. Karamihan kasi ng foreign and famous tech channels naka base sila western which is ibang iba ung mga pricing and status ng environment nila. Also, sometimes they don't see the true value of products halos magkakapareho sila ng reviews lalo na pag ung di nila nagustuhan parang bandwagon lang.

The first advice is pretty common and need at least a little bit of common sense, yeah there's a lot of 80+ rated PSU on the market, but remember some of those are not reliable kahit pa sabihin mo 80+ PSU sya, and yes common advice is to pick with brand or the most reliable brand PSU you have to PICK, and also make sure what type of PC they need, if it's for GAMING, Heavy Usage PC like editing. or just for office work? and also you have to ask a person if he/she planning to upgrade soon for GAMING and Heavy usage PC, if that so, that's the time na you need to recommend them the reliable PSU available on the market so in the future they won't bother thinking about their PSU might fail.
