To answer some recurring questions: This is a Commander-class starship, same as her sister ship Excalibur. She has another sister, the Endeavour which we will likely see at some point. 🙂

Dude, do you even know that the term “sister ship” means? The term is for ships of the same class. Not for ships of different classes, classes being ship design and function, a class is typically named after the first ship built in that particular design. An aircraft carrier is not the same as a battleship or submarine. You can have multiple ships of the same “type”, like currently the USA has the Nimitz class aircraft carrier and the Ford class aircraft carrier. Both classes are aircraft carriers but they differ in design. Here you have the Excelsior class Heavy cruiser and the Enterprise class variant or Constitution class “refit” (as it is commonly referred to as) heavy cruiser. Both are heavy cruisers but they are not the same design making them of different classes. The “Atlantis” here would be called the Atlantis class.

I've got to agree. As another pointed out it's got beautiful elements from Constitution Refit and Excelsior and they appear to be seamless updates. While the Constitution Refit has got a special place in my heart Excelsior isn't aesthetically pleasing.

Very nice! I particularly like the originality of the camera shots and the music selection. Too many creators lean hard into homaging iconic scenes and using the same recognized music. This render reminds me of the 90s game, Starfleet Academy.

While I don't like going back and changing canon I wouldn't mind an alternate remaster of ST4-6 with Atlantis serving as the Enterprise A model. OK maybe not but I do love the ship and it would have been so cool if that was the original Enterprise A.

These designs for the starships are the standard of the federation, The starship Enterprise D is the flagship of the federation, If you notice the first communicators were designed to represent the saucer section, and the star part represents the drive section.❤🙂
