The hare spaces worked slightly differently in the country side themed edition that (I assume) was the edition that won the Spiel des Jahres in 1979. There are 12 hare cards, 8 good and 4 bad. Any card played goes back to the bottom of the pile, so if you can remember the order of 12 cards, the luck factor disappears.

@@icaruspandas I played it tonight with 5 players. The order of some of the fields is revised too in that 1978 edition, for example the first lettuce is at step 7 instead of 10.

@@anno9456 Very interesting. I didn't realize the differences were that big. I know the board looks a bit different too, which some people seem to prefer.
