Still looks hard, it so hard to get the sweet spot and keep it as you move your fingers. Should take me about a year lol

I have seen recently Erik Sampson giving a great tip to help us with Quena playing: "Dont go to the flute, let the flute come to you". Means that you dont have to bend, lean towards it, but to bring it to us in straight position. Wishing you lots of luck!

Thank you very much. I have been trying to just get a stead note without covering holes. Your trick of moving the flute up and down I found the spot. I did mange to get my thumb on back hole and still have a note and the my index finger on the top beyond that every time i add a 2nd top finger the note goes away. What am I doing wrong?

Hello Tom, I am happy to read that my video helped you a bit. I know what you mean. That happens often, needs more adjustments, but also please mind one more factor: The space between lips should be small and the air stream - concentrated. Often first sounds are clear and then effect disappears. It can be a fact that your air stream is too wide and distracted. It needs more focus and be directed well. When you go towards lower holes/notes also mind that the air should be compressed, but relaxed. The lower note we hit, the air comes more from bottom of our belly, diaphragm, warmer, softer, but still concentrated. It takes practice, please focus more on making space between lips thinner and play with air pressure/concentration as you move down the holes. Good luck!

Oh no! :D Hopefully two things can happen: 1. Person who bought it will play it with joy! 2. One day you would give another try and success! :D
