මේ පාඩම ඇතුලෙ කතා කරේ අපි as if / as though වලට කලින් වාක්‍යය වර්තමාන කාලයෙන් තියෙන විට as if / as though වලට පසු වාක්‍ය කොහොමද තියෙන්න ඕනෙ කියලා.
ඉතින් as if / as though වලට කලින් වාක්‍යය අතීත කාලයෙන් නම් තියෙන්නෙ අපි දෙවනි වාක්‍යය අනිවාර්යයෙන් අතීත කාලයෙන් තියන්න ඕනෙ. ඒ නිසා අපි සංසන්දනය කරන දෙය ඇත්ත ද නැද්ද කියන කාර්ණය අදාල නැහැ අපි අතීතයට අයත් දෙයක් as if / as though වලට කලින් කියන විට.
eg: He behaved as if he didn't have a wife.
අනික් අතට අපි as if/ as though වලට කලින් වාක්‍යය වර්තමාන කාලයෙන් තියෙද්දි දෙවනි වාක්‍යයෙන් කියන්න අවශ්‍ය වෙන්නෙ අතීතයට අයිති දෙයක් නම් අපි දෙවනි වාක්‍යය සඳහා පාවිච්චි කරන්නෙ past perfect හෝ present perfect.
