Kanan has PTSD. Along with Rex, Obi-Wan, Saw, and Maul. Rex lost a bunch of his friends, including Fives and Heavy, he also thought Ahsoka was dead after she fought Vader. Obi-Wan was forced to cut down Anakin and leave him to burn. Saw watched the death of his sister in the Clone Wars. Maul watched as Sidious killed his brother, and as Grievous killed his mother. That's pretty traumatic.

Wallie _ Rex's rank "Captain" is closest to Ahsoka's rank "Jedi Commander", so technically Ahsoka is Rex's direct supervisor, but ultimately Anakin's rank was "Jedi General" so Rex would report to him. Also keep in mind Ahoska is Anakin's Padawan and thus, rarely left her Master's side. So both of them would be listening to Anakin most of the time and Ahsoka rarely got the ability to lead Clones independently. A episode was devoted to this in the Clone Wars where Ahsoka was upset that Anakin was always butting into her briefings never allowing her to lead. So the reality is, Rex is talking about Anakin. He also in a earlier episode of the Rebels, commented that his Jedi learned to use "HIS" wits with the Force and made "HIM" an excellent warrior.
@TheTruthIsGonnaHurt8 жыл бұрын
Regardless of what the novel says. Rex throughout Star Wars: Rebels has used the word "HE /HIM" when referring to the Jedi he served. Also Ahsoka, was stripped of her titles as a Republic Officer after she was kicked out of the Jedi Order. So she would not fall into the Republic military command structure. That is the main reason why Ahsoka faced a Republic Court, because Clones were killed and Clones are ultimately property of the Republic. Even if Ahsoka was cleared of the crime, and was welcome back into the Jedi Order, she was NOT welcome back into the Republic Military. The bottom line is, the writers made a mistake. The novel "Ahsoka", tries to fix the mistake and does a poor job of it. However, the mistake is minor and not that big of a deal, as Rex would never betray Anakin or Ahsoka. If forced to choose, Rex would probably blast himself rather then pick sides.
@jayo12128 жыл бұрын

@Ravens Fan4 agreed, but this line kinda feels retconned in a way. As many people have pointed out Anakin was Rex's Jedi (as in he was telling the truth), however he still did comply with the order when it was given

He still resist and ask Ahsoka to find Fives. So from certain poin of view, he was right.

I don't know why people always say the clones are a bunch of assholes it's not like they even had a choice of not executing order 66 but Rex Wolfe and Gregor had their chips removed from their brains Fives was completely right about the chips and people need to stop saying the clones are the bad guys
@xCoatlicuex8 жыл бұрын
+Matthew Wittkopp I don't think that they were bad, they are victims like the jedi, but also Kanan/Caleb has good reason to be afraid and somewhat traumatized, what he has to survive as a child surely left a deep painful emotional scar.

Rex said everyone has a choice and the other clones *chose* not to remove the inhibitor chips.
@regularguy28073 жыл бұрын
@@omgaidebig4121 The other clones DIDN'T KNOW they even had inhibitor chips to begin with as rex seemed to only tell wolffe and gregor about the chips causing them to take them out and desert the army though he may have told other clone commanders/arc troopers about the chips like cody but they didn't and chose to keep their in if they were even told about them that is.

The Bad Batch didn't save his life. Crosshair was actively trying to gun him down. Hunter WAS trying to help him, but Kanan probably thought he was just trying to trick him by lulling him into a false sense of security.
